In 2025, the Foreign Ministry commissioned an American communications and marketing company to find out how to improve the country's image in the #UnitedStates and Europe. The findings were revealing. Among the messages tested, one stood out for its effectiveness: fear of radical #Islam.
Stagwell conducted surveys, organized focus groups and tested different messages on audiences in five Western countries. A preliminary report by the company, leaked to the news website Drop Site in September 2025, painted a bleak picture of Israel's international standing. Many respondents, including people who opposed Hamas and #Iran, viewed Israel as a genocidal, #apartheid state.
The question for the researchers was how to change those perceptions.
They tested a range of approaches, including messages emphasizing Israel's support for women's and #LGBTQ rights, as well as portrayals of #Hamas as an organization seeking to destroy #Jews and spread jihadism. But one finding was particularly striking: Appeals to fear of radical Islam worked.
...#Muslims and #migrants were portrayed not as people but as an invading population, part of a supposedly coordinated effort to transform European societies. The advertisements appeared across platforms including #Facebook, #YouTube and #TikTok, and were directed at audiences in #Europe, the United States and elsewhere.
The researchers traced evidence suggesting that the work was done in #Israel, including an Israeli IP address and Hebrew-language metadata indicating Israeli office hours. Jones and Dsouza concluded, with moderate to high confidence, that the operation originated in Israel.
...Meanwhile, Meta, the owner of #Facebook and #Instagram, and #OpenAI, the owner of #ChatGPT, attributed a separate covert operation to the private Israeli online political campaigning firm STOIC. According to Meta and OpenAI, STOIC used fake accounts and websites to promote messages about Muslim immigration and radical Islam as a threat to Western values.
There is no evidence that these operations were centrally coordinated. But the recurrence of the same themes – Qatar as a threat, Muslim immigration as an existential danger, radical Islam as a mobilizing force – is difficult to overlook.

How much clearer could it be that Israel is fuelling fascism in the West? What better examples does someone need to portray Zionism as a far-right ideology that causes conflict in our societies?
From a proletarian standpoint, this ideology is evidently anti-proletarian in nature. It supports the arguments of far-right leaders against our working-class communities. It puts hatred into our communities, fuelling hateful ideas among us and breaking our will to fight unitedly against our leaders and the bourgeoisie.
