YouTube seems to have a new thing where it actually asks if you want to enable/disable autoplaying videos after your first video watched in a browser. I clicked to disable it.
Three seconds later, it autoplayed another video of its choosing.
Nice one.
If it's not playing videos or ads, what are we even doing? /s
Again, #Wordpress shows that they don't understand what a blog is. Also, why is this on by default? Oh wait, I know why! Tech dudes don't know what 'opt in' means! https://make.wordpress.org/core/2026/11/05/your-content-is-going-to-get-more-random/
This temporary email thing works
@ai6yr Thanks I’m going to check it out
The Indie Beat Television is streaming music videos 24/7!

And “cured” here means following the process for fixing whatever prevented the voter from being allowed to cast a regular ballot. So it’s “cured” as in curing an illness, not curing epoxy.
MS has fairly strict voter ID requirements, so a lot of their provisional ballots are for voters who have to come back to show an acceptable ID before the deadline.
How does Matt keep making wordpress worse? what the fuck?
Feel bad about hoarding RAM that could be used by Sam? No worries, I just launched https://uploadyourram.org/ so you can give your RAM to those in need
did you guys consider maybe putting *why* it failed in the error message
@aeva Whenever I experimented with emscripten I've always found it all very fragile and most example code online to just not work at all.
It's frustrating, since there is so much potential, but I can't build anything with it that isn't at best an interesting experiment.
For a while, I was under the impression that all spiciness, or burning sensation in food flavoring, would come from capsaicin, the compound that causes it in chili peppers. Then I realized that Sichuan peppers are a quite different kind of heat. Wasabi (horseradish) is different yet again.
How many hot-flavored compounds are there? At least five!

My final beach sunset of 2026 😕
@jerry Jealous. North Carollina beach? I live in MD and am contemplating a last run to Deleware beaches before winter really hits.
There was a ... I want to call it a sliver of a rainbow? But I guess it was like a halo or something.
But there were two rainbow-y stripes in the sky that were not connected, and were backwards (red on the right, green/blue/violet on the left)
It was neat. I don't think I've seen that before.
After the polls close, the election outcome is generally determined, and it’s just a matter of letting the count proceed and waiting for the results. But one exception is provisional ballots, where campaigns continue their GOTV efforts to encourage those who voted that way to cure their ballots before the deadline.
Mississippi’s senate seat is likely to be decided by provisional ballots this year, so we’re seeing a lot of this activity now.
@sophieschmieg And you’re right that this gives provisional voters more information than other voters have before deciding whether to commit their votes.
@mattblaze
Oh, I never thought of that detail of motivating provisional voters to cure their vote.
I'm attempting to create a worklet via emscripten_start_wasm_audio_worklet_thread_async. The callback has a "success" bool, which is getting set to false. After puzzling for a few hours as to why (there's no error message in the console), I notice one of the examples has a comment suggesting using a debug build to see errors (wtf)
Now I get this:
w:0,t:0x001867a0: _emscripten_create_audio_worklet() addModule() failed!
Well, ok then. Fuck if I know what that means.
