@jplebreton @moshboy

they should have called him.

tom elevator.

well, good night.

I am trying to think of where to look for yarn sales.

Any ideas other than Wal Mart.

@thelinuxEXP I had already commented under the video, but I wanted to let people know that a translation layer for macOS apps already existed and is DarlingHQ. I don't know where it stands right now, but maybe Cutefish devs could join efforts with that project to improve it instead of making a new one

Sundog introduced me to Patrice Rushen a few weeks ago. She's really great.

@riverpunk We need to document, test, ask for feedback, and repeat.

The point is for people to own their technology as much as their need dictates.

Too often, people stop short of meeting their own needs, due to a documentation gap, easily fixed bug, or foolish design choice.

@moshboy i met tom in an elevator once that's exactly what he looks like. incredibly sweet guy.

Niles has been passed out next to me like this for a while now.

He hasn’t become a lap cat yet, but he’s certainly comfortable in his surroundings.

He’s begun slightly twitching his front paws in the few last minutes… dreaming of play, I suspect.

You know how Men in Black samples basically the entirity of Forget Me Nots by Patrice Rushen?

(I didn't, and then I heard Forget Me Nots, and holy shit it's not so much a "sample" as a "blatant rip off")

I wanted to see what the Men In Black music video was like with Forget Me Nots behind it.

I think this is funny. No one else will. That's okay.

@polarweasel - That's awesome! I'm very partial to take-it-apart events. My library's makerspace holds these and the children (and adults) get so much out of seeing what is inside things. Its awesome.

This seem to stem from a misunderstanding. Lemmy and Mastodon have different goals. Users of each generally don’t want the other’s content generally showing up en masse.

If you want to see something from Mastodon, you can usually get it on Lemmy, and vice versa. I don’t often see Mastodon posts either, but that’s because I only follow Lemmy communities, so I only see them when someone on Mastodon tags a Lemmy community in their post. If you want to see more Mastodon content, see if you can follow some users or hashtags from Lemmy.

But that might not be supported; I haven’t tried. If you prefer Mastodon, I’m pretty sure that you can follow Lemmy communities from there.

which is like a third of the skill-adding mods

For a while, I was under the impression that all spiciness, or burning sensation in food flavoring, would come from capsaicin, the compound that causes it in chili peppers. Then I realized that Sichuan peppers are a quite different kind of heat. Wasabi (horseradish) is different yet again.

How many hot-flavored compounds are there? At least five!

If you like Kelly Hayes' blog (I'm also a big fan), you'll probably really enjoy "Let this Radicalize You". I'm a fairly experienced organizer and I learned a lot!

@jrhawley

I have just introduced Eldest to the Hamster Dance and the Dancing baby.

The old ways and memes must be remembered.

@tinker I’ve been repairing sewing machines and running the kids’ take-it-apart table with my 14yo for the last year in #nanaimo #bc, and we have had so much fun. In 2027 they’re going to be quarterly, scheduled well in advance, which will hopefully help us increase our reach.
