It has been a fantastic day for beautiful skies. In November, when it starts to get gray and rainy, I have the habit to jump up and run outside the minute I see any sunshine. It paid off royally today, as I happened to be on the pedestrian overpass right on time for this double rainbow.

what the fuck is -wrong- with you microsoft

Open-sourcing your plagiarism is still plagiarism.

Vibe-coding a 1:1 pixel clone of an indie app over the weekend and slapping an MIT license on it doesn’t make you Linus Torvalds.

It makes you a dickhead.

Also of note: first many have heard of this, by reactions, which means it was NOT used in his campaign!

There's so much to admire about this man.

Figured this belongs here.

"Here" being the Fediverse, anywhere on the Fediverse.

Made a thing. Fedigest is a self-hosted site where you pick posts from anywhere in the threadiverse, write a few lines about why they’re worth reading, and publish them as one front page.

Comments are pulled live from the original thread. Want to vote or reply? Enter your home instance once, it gets saved in your browser, and from then on every post takes you straight to the same post on your own instance. It can also follow communities and add new posts automatically.

Comes with 15 themes (light/dark pairs follow your device, and there’s a terminal one with an old PC font), and you can make your own with a live preview.

Runs as one Docker container, SQLite inside. Still early, version 0.1.3. Built with help from an LLM.

Feedback welcome.

Her: are you .... she/her or she/they?

Me: I'm just they but if you need to use she you can.

Her: did you think because I'm old I won't remember?

Me: no, of course not, I just think you shouldn't feel bad if you don't want to commit it to memory as I'm just here to help you with crafts and not like a daily visitor

Her: oh, well I've never met a LGBT person

Me: oh well it's nice to meet you!
