@brad I suspect I’ll find the same at every office. My partner didn’t know either.

A visual reminder, in case you forgot what the Minotaur Project was.

The comfiture being well done, my wife and I took Mrs. Hunt by coach and carried her home, and did give her a box of sugar and a haunch of venison given me by my Lady the other day.
@samuelpepys good for you, Sam! Thoughtful regifting is key!

As much as I love coding, porting or reverse engineering stuff.. there is no greater joy than spanking a nearly 50 year old sound chip. 😋

Well they got here very late in the day, but they did get here! The purple bike will have its pedals and grips.
Those grips are tiny - only 80mm long, I couldn't even find anything that short in local bike shops - which is how long the originals were.
@moira Those grips are wild-looking. As if the designers were going for a bottom-bracket motif..

Holy shit.
This guy takes a couple of minutes of audio from a security camera anywhere in the US, with no clues from the video whatsoever, and finds the exact spot where it was recorded.
How?
By correlating the Doppler curve sounds from two almost inaudible planes passing by with public ADS-B flight data.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UytYrhYLOKI (29 min)
I think this is the #OSINT video of the year.
I discovered a sound that leaks your exact location (and it's everywhere)

@scy Excellent method if you happen to have misplaced your security camera.
The thing I learned that surprised me the most about interacting with my colleagues in the Brisbane office last week was this: no one knows you can Ctrl-F on a web page to search for text.

Happy Birthday to George Boole, founder of Boolean Logic, who was born on this day in 1815.
In 1854, George Boole published An Investigation of the Laws of Thought, which introduced a mathematical system for expressing logical relationships using algebra. This system allowed concepts to be represented as true or false, and then manipulated using operations like AND, OR, and NOT.
Today, Boolean logic remains fundamental to computing.

@zeborah maybe we need a wee conference about this subject, because it's insidious, & gov't has almost always made bad decisions. I know there's at least one emerging company (and a few established ones who *could be*, in the ILS space) trying to make the shift to 'onshore in Aotearoa', 'open source/libre', and the cost effective option (disclosure: I'm a co-founder of the emerging one). I know it's complicated, but if we don't confront it we'll be left with the status quo. Yuck. @strypey
