Picard management tip: Don't try to go at maximum speed all the time. You'll burn out your engines.

"Panic is a threat surface."
One day the smoke will clear long enough for the Resilience Engineering people to discover the fascinating world of risk perception. It's tough to effectively fight fires unless you can differentiate fire from non-fire and tell which fires are most important when it seems like everything is on fire.
I'm #zoottootin and dreaming over here, but dream #storywars guests would be Ari Shaffir, Shane Gillis, and Tony Hinchcliffe all on the same episode.
I think I might have hacked life. Seriously. I've been having a Very Deep Think, and it turns out that *some* things in my life are really really good, however *some* things in my life are not good. All I need to do is to make the not good ones stop happening, and make the good things just happen all the time. How do I do that please? Also there are some medium things but I don't think I need help with those.
@TheBreadmonkey OMG is it that simple?
@danirabbit @brainofdane Pentecostal! Yeah, I could hear that as well. I went to a Pentecostal summer camp one year as a kid.
@micahilbery I’m so sorry lol
I hate, hate, HATE that "the election was rigged" has become the go-to explanation (across the US political spectrum) for any election that doesn't go your way.
Remember: despite real progress, there are still vulnerabilities in parts of our election infrastructure. But there is NO EVIDENCE that any US election outcome has ever been successfully altered by technical means.
It's not IMPOSSIBLE, but it's not something that we've actually seen happen (so far). Perspective, please.
One of the problems is that there have been so many claims in recent years (from both left and right) that some election was "hacked" that people who aren't paying close attention think that it actually happens all the time. "So many cases that it's not even possible to list them all" is the impression.
Except there are no documented cases of technical attacks altering US election outcomes. None. Nada. Zilch. Bupkis.
Maybe it could happen, but no evidence of it yet (fingers crossed).
Holy shit.
This guy takes a couple of minutes of audio from a security camera anywhere in the US, with no clues from the video whatsoever, and finds the exact spot where it was recorded.
How?
By correlating the Doppler curve sounds from two almost inaudible planes passing by with public ADS-B flight data.

I think this is the #OSINT video of the year.
I discovered a sound that leaks your exact location (and it's everywhere)

@scy @drahardja I guess you have to do your shenanigans near airports - or fake an airport by playing random doppler curves… Impressive!
Got inspired to watch this since Sarek (the novel) ends with Spock meeting Senator Pardek and being inspired to pursue reunification.
Gosh, I feel so bad for Sarek. The times I've lost the ability to control my emotions have been among the worst of my life.
(I have extreme emotions.)
[Swampert flirting] I heard you like Mudkips. Wanna make some?

We will destroy your humanity, we will destroy your planet
My work provided anti-virus has blocked Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines which I have legally downloaded from Steam and get fucked.
There comes a time in everyone's life when you must stop seeking approval and start making decisions with the quiet confidence of someone who has absolutely no idea what they're doing but has already committed to the bit. #gooderliving
Not to brag but my friends' cats like me a lot
