I think they’d like posts merged not just comments.
Piefed merges posts (and has an indicator with the number of crossposts , on the same level as the comments counter see https://piefed.zip/c/privacy@programming.dev ) in the feed view.

Is there a way to not see duplicate of the same topic across different communities?
Hi everyone!
I’m really enjoying the Fediverse through Lemmy and Peertube.
One creator I enjoy and follow on the Fediverse is Gardiner Bryant as his content is really enjoyable.
Sadly he ´s the target of my post as he shares his content on many different communities that I follow.
Today I had 5 times the same topic on RetroDeck (great project too) on my feed on Lemmy (Voyager).
It is the same on PieFed (Interstellar).
This is really annoying and I haven’t found a way to not show these duplicates. Do you know about one or is it worked on?
Also when crossposting, it would be great if everything appeared under on post. Is it feasible?
Sorry if it’s easy and I just missed it. In a way I hope it is because it would mean that the Fediverse is festure rich😇

I enjoyed the talk, but especially the demonstration of different cases on the spreadsheet. Just possibly could be a little more of that, a little slower?
And the cases where Pollard Rho fails, that seems interesting, not sure one could say anything - how rare it is, perhaps?
There's a time inefficiency to the chasing around, which is justified (i think) by the saving in space - you mentioned that, but maybe worth a little more emphasis, as it very seems one is doing more work than necessary.
as you know, this wasn't entirely new territory to me, so I'm not quite the target audience.
@EdS Thanks for the comments, and thanks for "attending"!
Yes, more demo might have been nice, but there was a lot to cover, and there were people there who would be lost in the technicalities. That's why everything was very much an overview.
And it's a very, *very* deep topic as to where and why Rho fails. It's to do with the deep structure of the arithmetic modulo p, where p is a factor, and it's related to the factorisation of p-1. It's a mess, and very much not something I could cover in this kind of talk.
Agreed about the time/space efficiency question(s), but the conceptual ease was worth keeping. There are *so* many optimisations for every aspect.
For example, instead of starting with a trial division to strip all the initial smallest factors, you can have pre-prepared a product of the first, say, 1000 primes, and then GCD that with N. This doesn't save you anything if you only do it once, but if you have and keep that product then you end up saving a lot of time.
And so on.
Each of the five aspects is worth a two hour talk, and then pulling it together is another two hours ... but in 40 minutes I think giving people a glimpse of the elegance was the best approach.
But I'm looking at writing it up, so your comments are very definitely relevant.
And absolutely right.
Sam Altman says he's gonna need your keyboard and mouse too.
@geekysteven I was using that!
Reminder that the term "AI" is extremely broad and even covers stuff like breadth-first searches with prioritization.
@fluffy I had a whole slide I used to do for all of the things that fall under artificial intelligence starting with pattern matching. Effing McAfee invented an entire industry out of a computer being able to match hash files faster than human could.
@algernon at least it seems to not be slop? It's a solution in search of a problem, sure, but it also seems real at least
@Byte It's a smart glass. And both developers "were AI-native builders". Chances are, they still are, so pretty sure this is slop.
@jadag88 😆
There were golden microphones?! Our base station was just a normal CB on a bookshelf.
@troublewithwords Yep. I have photo evidence somewhere. 😄

The request to the Roberts Court is an important early test of that Court’s willingness to read the Constitution in contradiction to how every other court has so far. Every court that has heard arguments like the ones in the California case and decided has ruled against the Trump regime. 6/
The Roberts Court might not act on the Trump regime’s motion. This sort of emergency relief request goes first to the Circuit Justice (here, Kagan) who can address it individually or refer it to the full Court. This process takes time. Were winning margins in the CA House races so big that the Trump regime lists wouldn’t make a difference even if they were wholly accurate, the issue could become moot. But California tallying takes weeks, so the case won’t be mooted in this way any time soon. 7/
Here we go: Trump regime’s latest effort to get its election interference ok’d by the Roberts Court. The regime seeks to have the Court require California to “segregate” mail ballots cast by those the regime has identified as “likely noncitizens”. This would require the Court to stay a federal district order against such segregation, an order upheld by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. https://assets.bwbx.io/documents/users/iqjWHBFdfxIU/r2A28lzqdS_4/v0 1/ #LawFedi
@heidilifeldman would the state even have time to submit a reply to the court before Tuesday?
@lanodan Celui qui la met risque pas gros ? x)
@darius I have honestly been considering it a lot. I guess it's worth trying if you recommend it.
@Craigp I was honestly shocked at how good it is. It's been 6 weeks since I finished the game and I can actually still tell you the name of most of the main characters, and I even occasionally think about them!
They also just released a second patch that I haven't tried but from the change log seems to fix a lot of the balance/economy issues I had
