If someone subscribes to a blocklist on a remote instance and that remote instance shuts down, would that blocklist still work (and just no longer get updates)?

@baldur i'm suspicious, honestly. the stuff i'm reading are things akin to, "my job is gone, this is horrible, i hate ai" but nestled in the middle is "ai has just become so good"
this would also be par for the course for the hypesters

Cleaned up some mouth noises and made a fairly decent mix I think. Still one bit where the vocals are possibly a bit buried in the busy arrangement, but I might learn to live with it. We’ll see. Time to let it rest. #sknot
It’s funny because I often have a hard time deciphering lyrics in songs, and I’m always wondering if it’s just me. I try to get to a place where I think I could decipher them without too much effort if I couldn’t read the lyrics somewhere.
@sknob your lyrics are usually very hearable (that is a word now), so I think even in what is a somewhat busy arrangement by your standards, I bet it's still pretty decipherable :)

@gilraen79 @_elena Looking for a new provider and seeing people saying they’re lying about their own AI usage. I’m about to give up and go paper mail only 🙃
@wonkothesane @gilraen79 what makes me really nervous about Proton is (1) how more importance is given to LLMs' coding vs. humans when it comes to security (2) the toxic culture created by AI-pilled management.
It's not just a blanket rejection of AI, it's more nuanced than that. I would trust a real life engineer with qualms and a desire to be prudent over management that pushes speed and genAI code.
I think alternatives to Proton may have better corporate culture... the bar is pretty low
