while i was out, the box fan in my window somehow fell out (it seemed pretty well-tensioned and had been in there for like 2 months), and somebody stole it :(
@dansup -> when is the location selector gonna get better in Pixelfed? Just curious!
The Apple watch can tell me when my heart is beating too fast, track my workouts, react to pre-programed gestures, but for WHATEVER reason, can't tell the difference between when I'm washing my hands and when I'm doing the dishes?!?!
And they call themselves "high tech".
Didn't wash hands
@dansup one other feature request: the ability to post in markdown on glitch instances like mine :)
@ariadne will add this to my todo list!
Don’t tell anyone that I said this.

The answer (mentioned in a motion from Comey) seems to lie somewhere in the Internal Security Act of 1950, which I can't find with a quick search.
@mattblaze I'm not sure the corrupt admin cares. This is still vengeful nuisance. Blanche is all for it.
China’s AI bubble has already burst. Its AI-heavy STAR50 index has fallen 40%, wiping out $480B.
Some Chinese AI chip companies have lost half their value.
Even after the crash, the index still trades at 100x earnings, down from nearly 250x. In comparison, the Nasdaq 100 trades at around 30x.

@ariadne @jeremiah_ His vision of Free Software and the actual freedoms that matter has been completely displaced by a fantasy that "AI" will destroy copyright and deliver us the right to copy and reuse any and all proprietary code. Which is now even more utterly worthless than it was before, because it's incomprehensible AI slop that we would never want to incorporate into our programs, and it's imposing requirements to be compatible with that garbage. 🤬
@irick good purrs
@KolaMagpie
*blush, purr*
A cat and two Macs not running their expected operating systems.
@dalias @jeremiah_ yes, and i am very concerned about that fantasy because while I think copyright *will* change to be favorable to AI usage, it probably will *not* change in a way that is favorable to his specific desired outcome.
the big fish will get to pillage the commons, calling it "AI training" while the little fish get sued. that is the likely outcome.
Me: "I am a Magus, through skill and will I have come into my own in the divine stage. I dance with gods as co-creators and fully participate in the unfolding of the universe."
Also me: *purrs for two hours because someone clipped a leash on eir collar*
@irick good purrs
@mcc 300M cars times $10k reasonable price for simple EV = $3 trillion. Way less than the amount they've burnt on AI shit.
@ariadne @jeremiah_ Yes. His delusion is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS and is selling us out.
@stufromoz It was a coin toss. The categories for your answer are very similar, go have a look.
@futzle I guess if I had been to it, I would have realised what province it was in... (which was why I got it wrong)
@gruber Did you already know about this funny confluence of history on-stage at WWDC 2008? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KhhId_WG7RA

@pdadams Yes! I made fun of him on Twitter for the double polo shirts, and then Loopt sponsored DF and had fun with it.
