Meanwhile on reddit.

Honestly kind of sounds like lemmy.world mods like Jordan Lund tho…

To get a project featured on the subreddit, developers now need to show it has been actively maintained for at least a year, has an established community, and has at least three contributors, give or take. Student projects such as note-taking apps and PDF viewers aren’t welcome either, and developers can no longer use the subreddit to find people willing to help maintain their software.

That creates a chicken-and-egg problem for independent developers, who apparently need an established community before they can use an open source forum to find one. Even projects with no AI involvement could fall foul of the rules. One Reddit user pointed out that their nine-year-old project, which has more than 300 GitHub stars and dozens of resolved issues, would no longer qualify because they’re its sole contributor.

The moderator also imposed a minimum Reddit account age of one year and requires significant prior contributions. Anyone who attempts to post and then contacts the moderators seeking an exception risks being permanently banned and muted.

why are you asking what a gnome is to the gnome who you just found out was a gnome by asking her if she is a gnome

@signalapp Great move by DDG.
Also, 25.000$ to Perl and Raku Foundation. I didn't know that Perl is still around 😅

@aesthr Yep. I've been saying for a while that rebuilding the tech industry is pretty much going to require us to all become addiction treatment experts for at least a decade, on top of relearning all the verification and planning work that we've spent the last quarter-century pretending we don't need to do.

@neil

💯

Only a crook (and a very short-sighted one at that) can want to abolish or critically weaken consumer protection laws.

@ben the artist's one body type

this has nothing to do with the fediverse

@em_makes somewhat. I'm still dialing it in.

@lilithsaintcrow …I am assuming Bea did this by telling the monster “I only dated you because your brother is really hot!” and no amount of actual text from the book will convince me otherwise.

Today's Low Quality Ad is for this Mood Indicator Pin. It can spin to display different moods. But let's be real, it doesn't need to. This is exactly how you're feeling.
