I know I’ve mentioned this before, but: if you’re gonna make a review of a UHD release of a movie that’s nearly an hour longer than the movie itself, it’s extremely polite to put all your conclusions right in the thumbnail.
Probably not great for your view count! But polite

@carstenfranke @ai6yr !!!! THIS. Loss of a nearly invisible government activity makes weather forecasts WORSE, impacting EVERYONE. The negative ROI on this is astonishing. What a waste.

@TeflonTrout @KevBot Wait did you read it as Bruce skee from the first pass? It seriously took me a couple of passes to get there.
1/ If there's a political lesson to be learned over the past decade it's that the party that treats the electorate as though they're stupid will get punished. In the US the Dems ignored grassroots concerns about globalism, affordability, etc, patted the electorate on the head and said leave this to your betters. You got Trump as a result. Recently in my province of BC the NDP tried some obvious political chicanary with a snap election. The electorate handed them their ass.
@mike I suppose Eby was surprised that he lost.

Let's all try to remember one important thing: Dr. Abdul El-Sayed is TOO LEFT-WING to win a senate seat in a battleground state like Michigan.
Very smart people told us this in no uncertain and very fretful terms for months. Every fucking one of them still earns an exorbitant salary for their opinions.

@whybird @carstenfranke It *is* objectively nuts. But it's the way it is for deeply entrenched reasons that are difficult to unravel without opening the door to making things even worse.
@mattblaze @carstenfranke Hey! Good to know I’m not blocked :)

My music playlist is playing "Fireflies" by Owl City
I pause it
The radio at work is playing a mediocre, soulless cover of the same song
