They’re not private at all, I’ve never been under the illusion that they were.
I like it, have some guts, stand on business. If people want to downvote they should be willing to attach their name to it, internet points are fake anyway.

Oh yeah. Conservatives are regularly caught and convicted of SA.
Of course, this is a gigantic opportunity to expand their favorite hobby.
I’m fed up with the presumption of good faith in any of this, and I don’t see any point other than going directly to communicating the worst case bad faith, assumption, as fact.
And you start with conservatives from that baseline demanding why should we have more of your perverts menacing our children?
@GhostOnTheHalfShell Exactly. This to me smacks exactly of that.... 🤢
Do you know where this comes from?

The last detail about Colom's race I dig into is that Biden initially nominated him for a Federal Judgeship but Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith blocked his confirmation.
Had she confirmed him... she wouldn't have had to take him on in this race at all.
But instead Colom didn't back down and he ran for Hyde's seat instead.
Winning by razor thin margins.
Across the south something is VERY clear... tons of these races in the South were shamefully underfunded YET they have been insanely CLOSE races especially with Black politicians.
The story of Jamie Davis' campaign in Baton Rouge nearly winning on $0.06 spent per won vote against a Trump endorsed opponent who spent $9 a vote!
The DNC needs to support Southern races!

(cont) deportations, racism, isolation and the segregation of Swedish society. He gets paid bullshit money, refuses to get paid more because there isn't money enough and he and other librarians all do this while still feeling like they don't do enough.
They get more and more responsibilities, and less and less money. His boss had to basically commit a form of fraud to get the money to stretch. Cops, social workers and politicians agree their work is key in the crime riddled area the (cont)
(cont) he organizes book circles for people who where not allowed due to their gender to learn how to read.
He organizes introductions to the library as a social center for newcomers. He blows up balloons for poetry evenings in Urdu and sets up chairs, gets books purchased. Organizes language cafés. Persuades operas and movie theatres to give them free tickets (because there is NO money). He works every single day.
And today he sat crying, sad because "I don't do anything" against (cont)

How to expand a Control object to fill its H/Vbox container in Godot 4
Been struggling with this for too long before discovering this, made this video so you don’t have to.
Tested with Godot 4.8, but this feature has probably been around since 4.0.

@NewsHund but it is still a good stance from her that she does not want to just let Schumer continue right @mastodonmigration
Husband-dude sat on the toilet crying listening to a protest song against the deportations.
He works every single day, his entire work focus is helping people learn Swedish, to have access to information, and provide a social centre in the library. When I tell folks he's a #librarian they assume he just bumbles about reading books.
He works longer hours than anyone I know. He clocks out after 8 hours, and then work 2-3 more per day because there isn't money enough to cover the work needed (cont)

They are not, it’s akin to shouting in the rain. Most people will be inside not getting wet, but there people that either like the rain, or get paid to stand in it
The lemmy vote viewer is quite limited but I suspect that there are a few servers that have spun their own DB queries and charting:

I tried competing in a precipitation contest today, but I couldn't beat the raining champion.
LOL
(I mean, he probably DID have a point, but apparently he carried a grudge against new garbage disposals to stock 3 old ones)

@mwt @BobWilliams are you asking if you could take the money and buy equipment? Yes.
@evan @BobWilliams awesome. I will keep an eye out for a future funding round and be better prepared to apply by then.
@elrohir that's not what i was thinking of but it sure does look like it would work!
@moira oh, sorry. I think I may have paid more attention to your description of the task you need done, than your description of the tool itself
@dianea 💯!!! Just imagine we are playing a game called called Save The Nation. You start with a country that is run by politicians controlled by billionaire fascists, and you need to win an election to remove them from power. What you DON'T do next is hand power over to other politicians who are controlled by the same billionaire fascists. That would be a very bad move.
@mastodonmigration @dianea anti corporate is the best types

As one of the very few people who had a paid subscription to Majestic during its extremely brief life, I have spent the last 25 years trying and failing to convince anyone else that it was a real thing that actually existed and not just something I hallucinated
Sorry, the app encountered an unexpected error
