@EugestShirley HAHAHAHAHA it's part of a Tesla accessory of some sort. .
They have finally called the race to fill noted crazy person Nancy Mace’s House seat down here. It went to the Democrat, Nancy Lacore, a retired admiral Pete Hegseth drove out of the Navy last year.

An interesting idea which occurred to me for a JiT runtime for Alonzo: What if any datastructure you define in Alonzo can provide instructions for how it can be compressed?
These could be invoked by the garbage collector as it compacts memory!
The other intriguing thing about building an Alonzo interpreter or compiler: Order of execution doesn't matter! As long as the dataflow's right the code can be executed in any order.
It can be evaluated lazily, but it doesn't have to be.

A recent addition I've made to my Alonzo plans is to add exceptions.
I was motivated to do so because allocating memory is a foundational building block of computing, which might occasionally fail. Though it might have other uses.
An exception would be non-deterministically returned from a function, & get propagated unless handled. Possibly winding up in your UI. Reading that data again will attempt to recompute the deterministic data.
How does this sound?
2/2 Tangentially!

That wasn't an error. It was a choice.

@EugestShirley Good question. Approximately 8x6. Elastic on one edge only.
It's ripstop hylon, black on one side... reflective on the inside. It's waterproof -- there are sewn seams and they are all taped with waterproof tape (high quality, not peeling). There's some branding that looks like "TS", but could be anything, really.

@gsuberland @mcc If I remember correctly, not setting the CPU type and/or flags, I’ve had issues with it where it would not advertise AVX etc to the guest OS

The reason your most "profitable" client is actually bankrupting you is simple:
You priced the work based on creation time, not management chaos.
Add a 30% buffer for emotional and operational support before you send your next proposal. Charge for the actual human you have to deal with.

@Daojoan
The converse of this is I always want to be the Good customer
Knowing what a pain it is to deal with difficult ones
But then damned if I don’t have all kinds of wacky ideas and requests as well
Making me the shitty customer I dislike
There should be classes, and exchanges of good customer behaviour

On a privacy scale of 1 to 100: 2.
Mods can see it, all someone has to do is spin up a private instance and they can see it too, plus there’s Lemvotes. It’s kinda neat like I can see that I upvoted 8,052 posts and downvoted 17 from that account, or from this account I upvoted 15,327 comments and downvoted 86.
Some instances though - like PieFed.social - have defederated from Lemvotes, so anyone’s vote offered to a community on that instance will not be counted by Lemvotes. But ofc that’s merely one of many tools for me to find the data, whereas if someone spins up their own instance then they - or a community mod - can still see it by other means.
The reason I went into all this detail is bc if is relevant to your purpose that not everyone on the Threadiverse shares the same view about vote privacy. Some instances will defederate from yours in an attempt to retain control over the visibility of votes from their own. So perhaps you can devise some mechanism to allow admins the choice to opt-out, without having to defederate from your entire instance wholesale?

#BikeNite Cycle Chat
@ascentale @Weather_Rock_Wx @bikenite #BikeNite A3. Definitely figure out fit. I was putting way too much stress on my front arms, bars too low and seat too high. I'm not racing, so really a race position is too aggressive. Have been moving to more comfortable positions since after tweaking my arm from too much pressure.
Regarding Q3: thank you everyone for the great suggestions. This past week, I had pretty good success with tilting the handlebars up slightly, and nudging the seat back slightly with a slight adjustment to the angle. I also made sure the handlebar shock absorber was set to the maximum give.
I’m not sure where to buy gloves with better padding, but I tested that idea using a koozie as shown in the photo below.
Finally, I bought a MagSafe grip/knob for the back of my IPhone so that the side of the phone case doesn’t press on the side of the thumb.

Maybe I should try sewing some pants, next. Hmm, looks like maybe I should finally buy the proper tools for the job, like a three-piece kit for cutting buttonholes.

@MossyQuartz @Anne_Montano_Art Oooh, fancy, tools made for the job! 😂 I am sure that would work a lot better than what I've tried in the past. Xacto/razor blade definitely superior to scissors though, as long as you are careful.
