Headhunted 12 years ago. Board said to finalise contract with legal. Asked for clause giving me ten years' salary if made redundant. It was so specialised at the time, redundancy was next to impossible, so it was amazingly included. Now AI makes it very possible. Fingers crossed.

They have finally called the race to fill noted crazy person Nancy Mace’s House seat down here. It went to the Democrat, Nancy Lacore, a retired admiral Pete Hegseth drove out of the Navy last year.

Don’t worry about Nancy Mace. She’s keeping busy

Photo of Nancy Mace hosting her new video show, “Get Maced,” which she calls a podcast even though it’s only on X and YouTube as far as I can tell. She’s dressed in a black leather catsuit that’s zipped halfway down, sitting in front of a neon sign that says GET MACED.

@sun thank you for the recent updates. Shitposter runs more smoothly now, I get none of those error messages, and it even keeps my place when I click through threads and then go back.

For The Setting Sun

For The Setting Sun is the first full-length album from CommsBreakdown + Socool. Following on from their Sax Trax EP, the album explores the mellow, downtempo side of this collaboration. For The Setting Sun is a collection of co-written tracks that encompasses the tranquil moods of sun-lit late afternoons, turning the warmth of golden time into a cosy aural blanket for the listener to wrap around themselves. It’s chillout with the warmth of dusk in the air. Wait for the sun to dip below the horizon, press play and lose yourself in the music. Album cover photography and design by Stephen Robert Ash + Emily Sobool. This release can also be enjoyed on CommsBreakdown’s Bandcamp page, and while you're there, be sure to check out his other great releases: https://commsbreakdown.bandcamp.com/music

@ai6yr did you look at the buttocks alteration thread (on bsky)

I say wear whatever feels comfortable, but you might care about the how-to when making your next pair.

If there is enough inlay, a tailor can shorten the back rise by pinning it up on your body until the trousers drape cleanly. They remove this material and then let out the crotch seam to compensate. This way, you don't get a wedgie. Note, cheap pants typically don't have much inlay.

@bolderbekah Thanks! Great info! I am not ready to adjust these without washing them a few times, lol. (raw selvedge denim.... will shrink, for sure.) My other pair, even though washed twice before, shrunk again a bit. (still fit, but not as loose!)
