Miller recommended declaring a state of emergency over ICE protests in 2025, for example. Simply put, he is a Nazi, hell-bent on ethnic cleansing and likely the most dangerous person in that administration.
there are a bunch of people coming into the soulframe q&a chat and asking why they can't interact with the thing with the padlock icon on it and being told that they're supposed to go to the one in the starting area that doesn't have a padlock icon on it and is shaking violently instead and they're getting really mad because apparently "the one that isn't locked and is vibrating is the one that you can interact with and requires your attention" is unintuitive
my steam deck has this fun new feature where it charges to exactly 70% battery instead of 80% and then randomly gives me full-screen pop-ups that steal inputs from games that say "your charger is too slow" but the battery isn't going down it's consistently staying at 70%

1st is the classic “It’s not X, it’s Y” (or “It’s X, not Y” here I suppose). 2nd sounds like a headline AI likes to use, and also fails formatting like it was copy-pasted from llm output.
There’s probably more, I got the impression before those parts. My guess would have been some sections are ai some human. Is this accurate?
Either way I’d either not do that (use ai text in promotion nor unmarked), or (unfortunate as it is) try to avoid ai tropes.

The first effect I can think of is reversing DOGE cuts such that Fediverse software development or other work is better funded by the US government. I guess that's possible, but we haven't had a lot of US government funding to begin with. So, I'd say minor if any benefit here.
The second is antitrust. Congress does not run the FCC or the FTC, but it can hold hearings and investigations. I guess there's a path to having more Big Tech investigations for antitrust. Sometimes tech companies comply in advance, by implementing interoperability before they're forced to. I'm not sure this is high on the Democrats' agenda, so I'd give it a minor effect, again.

imo besides the ethical reasons, people should release their work as #ccmusic today in order to facilitate curation. internet radio DJs and podcasters being able to play their music for others without having to get direct consent every time, which would make a regular new music show difficult.
the rising fedi music scene feels very insular. it doesn't want to displace the bad industry. to do so, we need human curators as a quality recommendation alternative to the algos.
