Hello from RetroLemmy!
Discussion
Spring, as it will look in The Last Tea House.
We’re reworking every season in the game. After monsoon, here’s the one with cherry blossoms, drifting petals and butterflies by the lake.
Spring or monsoon, which would you rather spend a day in?
Our psychedelic tunnel-shooter game has a name now and a website and a social account here on Fedi!
Presenting: Psybernetic Warp Explosion, a psychedelic tunnel-shooter with VR support.
https://psyberneticwarpexplosion.com or follow @psybernetic
Got it running pretty well on the Steam Frame now, after re-building the physics and using piles of caching in the shader. Still runs into trouble with lots of particles though.
I am finding myself having quite a bit of fun exploring the vast caverns and tiny passageways of the seed-generated tunnel maps. They sometimes look very pretty, and there's a lot more improvement to be done there too.

Dissatisfied with off the shelf game engines lately, been working on my own little cross platform framework, targeting turn of the millenium hardware.
In this test project I haven't animated the player mech's legs so just pretend there are wheels attached 🙏

Hi from normals.me. If you can read this, the federation works
This post is written on https://normals.me and delivered to !fediverse@lemmy.world over #ActivityPub, so if you are reading it the basic plumbing works. Now let me explain what is this.
Normals is a forum with communities, threads, and questions with an accepted answer. It is a single instance, not software you can host, and the core is closed for anti-abuse reasons. The federation module will be published separately with implementation notes (FEP-67ff).
What federates today Every community is a Group actor following the Lemmy model (FEP-1b12). Follow @selfhosted@normals.me or any other community from Lemmy, PieFed, Mbin or Mastodon.
Posts and comments go both ways. Replies from your instance appear in the thread on Normals, replies from Normals go back to the origin.
Remote content is labelled with its origin, links back to it, and is never copied. Media loads from the source.
Signed fetches, so it works with instances that require authorized fetch. NodeInfo 2.1 is up.
Policies, in case they matter to you, it has no ads, and no paid reach, and of course no AI training on posts. AI crawlers blocked by default, public mod log with reasons, and no automated removals. Numbers at https://normals.me/transparency so please take a look.
If something from your instance shows up wrong here, or something from here shows up wrong on yours, reply with the URL and I'll fix it. Andy Piper mentioned NodeBB uses the same group model, if anyone runs a NodeBB instance I'd like to test against it, if possible.
I hope we all have fun. Cheers!

@voxel if it helps I instantly thought of fuchikomas from Ghost in the Shell and those do have wheels attached. The test game looks really cool and I want to play it!
@xlenka Tak akkoma dziala.
My classes at @kbtl.bsky.social are available only on Extended Access (that is, they're pre-recorded & you get access to them with the Extended Access ticket which also lets you have longer to watch and digest all the other classes too).
I'll be hanging out in their Discord to discuss my classes on negotiation for NDs and making kink events more accessible, and I can't wait to hear what folks think.

@neil if you can find old-new-stock Googlke Pixel Tablet, they can be degoogled with GrapherneOS. I am writing this on one right now.
@fazalmajid It is a lovely device - I love mine!
But not small and not cheap, even when they are available.
Gotcha! Yes I figured there was some finagling going on like that. I can definitely work with that though. Thank you!
