Onko se siis niin että datakeskus tarvitsee myös ympäristöluvan?
Big Tech claims voters’ AI backlash is “anti-Trump” not “anti-tech”
Tech industry in denial as US overwhelmingly votes to restrict AI, data centers.

@arstechnica Do you think that something will dramatically change? Both Democrats and Republicans are under the influence of AIPAC and pro-Israel groups and push their agenda.
LLM question: is the result deterministic with the same model and prompt?
I guess this also assumes they haven't changed any of the system prompts between prompts. There is probably no way of knowing that, is there?
@jaranta I'm pretty sure the answer is no. It's not a case of always picking the highest scoring token, but some kind of random selection from high scoring tokens. But my knowledge dates from 2023ish, so take it with a pinch of salt.
@joncounts sadly, that tracks with my experience. Sigh.
@joncounts maybe we need to come up with compelling narratives of how biodiversity can benefit us all... (Grudgingly accepting most people won't care about anything if there's no personal upside. Which seriously sucks)
While Americans went to the polls, Putin dropped nine guided glide bombs on the Komyshuvakha primary school in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
The school was used to hand out humanitarian aid. But just as people arrived to get food packages at 10 a.m., Russia bombed it. Then when rescuers arrived, the second strike occurred.
Death toll: 31.
Missing: 20.
Rescuers and police officers are among the dead.
This is one of countless reasons Putin must be brought to justice in the Hague.
Trump's Russian diesel deal is running aground. Tankers bound for the US are turning away, one towards Brazil, as US ports and buyers fear breaking the 2022 ban on Russian oil imports.

MAGA influencer Joey Mannarino (1) who has 784,000 followers on the Dead Bird (2) thanks to the promotion by Elon Musk, is extremely angry. So I wondered where he got his news.
He reveals it in a recent post (3): Putin's own propaganda operation Russia Today, which is banned in the EU.
RT has made him angry that Minnesota Representative Ilhan Omar spoke a foreign language to constituents with a foreign background.
This is the same man who appears on Italian radio shows… speaking Italian (4).
@grumpygamer That's a mission for Sun Microsystems !
@davidrevoy @grumpygamer so niche, so nerdy. I laughed hard.
@lightweight Interesting thread here. A lot of contradictory things are tangled up with NZers love of pet cats that they allow outside. (Indoor cats are great.)
Regarding your question about whether people most value the animals they can own, I think instead a lot of New Zealanders are empathetic to individual animals, wild or owned. That's mostly the animals that they see are are like us (bigger, smarter mammals like cats, dogs). Animals that fall into this circle of empathy generally get treated very well by us. Those that we can make money selling dead (sheep, cows, pigs) get treated a bit differently, but the recognised duty of care is still there.
Native birds still seem to be on the periphery for many people, although generation-by-generation birds are making their way into our circle of care. Hedgehogs (a pest) are still well inside the circle for many people. Lizards seem more on the edge still.
When it comes to plants and fungi and invertebrates (most of our indigenous biodiversity), the connection is not emotional and I don't think most people give these much thought at all.
@joncounts sadly, that tracks with my experience. Sigh.
@chrisdejabet Meh. It’s just so bland to me.
@chartier It’s pretty bland.
We recently hired 4 experienced Android app developers to overhaul or replace each app included in GrapheneOS. The most recent hire starts at the end of this month. We shipped the Messaging app overhaul which is already far more usable, robust and secure but will get much better.
@GrapheneOS thank your for the amazing work. Rocking graphene on a 6a currently.
I'm still disappointed they didn't have any flamethrowers in 300.
@lowqualityfacts well the Byzantine Greek navy had flamethrowers about a millennium later.
Oh my god!
Keri Ingle won her state senate seat in Missouri last night.
For those who don't know, she was one of the fiercest opponents to trans bans.
She unseats the former House Speaker in a senate seat R's have held for decades.
She was partly responsible for the MO Ban's sunset clause!
Democrat Keri Ingle defeats Ho...
Ok folks. my turn.
I'm currently seeking part-time, fully remote work in digital accessibility, manual software testing, usability testing, or a related area. I have experience testing websites and applications with screen readers and keyboard navigation, identifying accessibility issues, and clearly documenting what's happening and what needs attention. I'm CPACC certified and particularly interested in helping teams understand and address accessibility barriers. My background also includes software QA, bug reporting, documentation, training, and some Salesforce administration, however accessibility and testing are my primary focus. I'm looking for consistent part-time hours, about fifteen to twenty-five per week. W-2 employment is preferred. If you know of a suitable opportunity or team, I'd welcome a conversation. Thank you for reading. Boosts are appreciated.
