I've joined Facebook groups for areas I don't live at just for the drama, wind chimes, people leaving their bins where they are not supposed to and bright lights. Winge winge winge, fucking hilarious.

I was thinking about how I miss when people used to make cool software and then post about it but then I remembered software has always been bad #NoSoftwareMovement
I was thinking... what if I merged the metrics persistences into a single file, and had all state in said file?
No need to configure metrics persistence for every server. A global one will do.
And also: do I want separate metrics servers for each server? Wouldn't it make more sense to have one? And then the per-server metrics are either on different paths, or... there's just one, with all metrics combined.
For OJF reasons, one metrics server, with per-server metrics on different paths makes most sense.
initial-seed "4"
state-file "state.kdl"
prometheus-server {
bind-to @iocaine.metrics
persist interval="1h"
}
http-server nsoe {
bind-to @iocaine.http
script language=roto path="/some/path" {
module "nsoe" path="/path/to/nam-shub-of-enki"
configuration file="nsoe.kdl"
}
}
Some implications:
- Unlike in iocaine3, metrics are always collected. Persistence is optional, but collection always happens.
- You can have any number of http or haproxy servers, but only one
prometheus-server. - Metrics are available under
/<server-name>, rather than/metrics, since there's only one such server now.
I think this results in less resource use, simpler configuration (less repetition!), and simpler code too. The downside is that there's a small metric collection overhead.
I could make that optional, mind you, and if there's a sufficiently compelling case for it, I will - later.
Zionist left is a common term used in the past.
They are the ones who kill Palestinians in silent and SLOWLY empty the vilages and cities, unlike the right who does it with a bang and proudly shout about it in public.
Icelanders do love corrugated iron. Here we have a whole stack of it, abandoned among the trees.

In which court?
And who’s going to drag the US government in front of it?
A demand like yours (aimed by Austria at Serbia) is what started WW1.
TFW you lose a war but they don't just let you pack up and leave
@darius So, my problem is more along the lines of “say you’ve been in standards too long without saying you’ve been in standards too long.” ;-)

@neil I have so many really cool phones in perfect working order, but unusable because they are not compatible with 4/5G. Such a shame.

If Maxwell was in the courtroom at his sentencing, how did he sneak up behind the judge?
@flyingsaceur The Equations allow Maxwell to bend any light or energy.
