Please can someone link me to that awesome list of no-AI FOSS projects? Thanks!
@Canageek how do the security risks from old code compare to the security risks from slopcode
@WizardOfDocs old code ones are more likely to be publicly known and exploited
best bet is to probably stay on the last version of LibreOffice before it got sloppy
🔥 The beacons are lit! Gondor calls for #BONKWAVE 🔥
@gsuberland @atax1a @gisgeek @neko @notthatdelta
also Booz Allen directly investigated this: https://www.boozallen.com/expertise/cybersecurity/whats-in-americas-code.html
@tortuguito @ximo Y luego le das la vuelta, ves que tampoco entra y te das cuenta de que el lado correcto era el primero.
"Without retention limits or restrictions on how data could be combined, video can easily be stored and searched later, turning up video on people who are never going to be involved in a crime," EFF’s Beryl Lipton told Richmond Magazine about using drones as first responders. https://richmondmagazine.com/news/news/chesterfield-county-police-department-first-responder-drones/
Pretty much from day zero Tarana Burke has CONSISTENTLY shown up to encourage people who follow the movements she started to not to overstate believing claims that are not yet proven or have been proven to have not occurred.
Here's another TV appearance from 2021 and I've seen here making the EXACT same speech every year there after.
Here entire point was that cops & courts should actually take reports and run investigations.
She is a BIG supporter of due process.
feels like today is a good day to remind everyone that people throughout my life have voted 3-4% meaner than they polled, so if you think ANYTHING is in the bag here, you are _fucking wrong_
@moira my model agrees with you in number form, just smaller: it shades Senate polls 1.6 points toward Republicans and governor polls 2.5, both fitted from how polls have missed in past elections. it's a bet that the old pattern repeats, which is exactly the part nobody can check until the 3rd
I really really hate running. It is stupid and idiotic and hurty and hot and my legs hurt and it's night time and I just want pie and sleep. Why can't it be pie and sleep time. Why must it always be hot and hurty time. Why not pastry and restorative rest. Why can't I get what I need from flour. Flour loves me. Running is my sworn enemy. It's like I'm in that stupid video game from the 1980s where you had to mash the buttons to make the person run. Only I am the person and I must mash my own buttons. Why cannot someone mash my buttons for me. Why do they even need to be mashed. THIS IS 2026 WE HAVE WIRELESS CHARGING.
Why must I be the most put-upon person around. When is it my time. I could do so much good in this world if I wasn't so exhausted from all the other stuff. If I were Andy Burnham I would just pick people like me and agree they don't have to do all the other stuff and can just focus on doing art and cooking and making love and sleeping and helping out down the library and taking kids to the cinema and then just eating lots and lots of sandwiches and then having a nice lie down and watch the telly. That is what I would do. Why isn't he doing that? Because he is a TERRIBLE PRIME MINISTER. Someone have a word with him please. #UKpol

Carmen Sandiego? At Mar-a-lago?
@WizardOfDocs Sadly that also probably means security risks :(
@Canageek how do the security risks from old code compare to the security risks from slopcode
@elricofmelnibone Filesystem Linux is more or less dead.
#Empathy doesn't mean you let everyone immigrate. It means you try to understand everyone's concerns. Doing that will naturally lead to an effort to balance competing interests based on how much a compromise will impact the different sides.
Empathy would lead you to make the middle class give up some so that the poor are not desperate, but not before you make billionaires live like the middle class do, and help many more people in the process.
@mm Sanka is "without caffeine"
The "made with AI" thing is a good start but I want *more* mandatory disclosures on Steam.
"This game was made by a studio that required devs to work six months of crunch."
"This game was made by union-busters."
"75% of this team was laid off the day after it shipped."
"Profits from this game enrich the Saudi Government."
Any others?
I hate the slop summary at the bottom I should find it somewhere else
@dajb as much as this is a bummer, as a Dad I really respect the bang-for-the buck of Hot Wheels. A 5-pack is like $6 and while I just checked some lying around the house and couldn't find a 2026, they're usually much better made than the other cars we somehow accumulate. And older Hot Wheels are very easy to find.
@hunterking My daughter was *obsessed* by Hot Wheels cars between the ages of about 7 and 10. She had ~120 of them, knew all of their details and had given them all names!
