My now ex husband would piss me off so much that a once or twice a week I would move the bookmark in his book. Not by much just one or two pages forwards or backwards. Just enough to make him think wait have I missed something or im sure I've read this. He never found out

We haven’t had a decent Democrat president since Carter; hell, one could argue that we haven’t had a good Democrat in office since FDR!

Reddit's r/opensource bans AI slop, and quite a few humans for good measure
Meanwhile on reddit.
Honestly kind of sounds like lemmy.world mods like Jordan Lund tho…
To get a project featured on the subreddit, developers now need to show it has been actively maintained for at least a year, has an established community, and has at least three contributors, give or take. Student projects such as note-taking apps and PDF viewers aren’t welcome either, and developers can no longer use the subreddit to find people willing to help maintain their software.
That creates a chicken-and-egg problem for independent developers, who apparently need an established community before they can use an open source forum to find one. Even projects with no AI involvement could fall foul of the rules. One Reddit user pointed out that their nine-year-old project, which has more than 300 GitHub stars and dozens of resolved issues, would no longer qualify because they’re its sole contributor.
The moderator also imposed a minimum Reddit account age of one year and requires significant prior contributions. Anyone who attempts to post and then contacts the moderators seeking an exception risks being permanently banned and muted.

this has nothing to do with the fediverse
Holy wow. 25% of Microsoft. https://www.theverge.com/tech/1018666/microsoft-expands-buyouts-60000-employees-eligible
Y'all're too idealistic, I go "can we imagine solarpunk that isn't about making the world better but is just about petty criminals in a solarpunk setting, in order to make a fun story" and most of y'all's replies are "what if we did a crime… to make the the world better?". Like legitimately this says something positive about you as people but lol
Technically not a crime under the international law of finds, but would definitely tick off the USA...
Build an array of solar-powered mass accelerators beaming moon dust at the Earth–Sun L1 Lagrange point to end global warming as a cover for stealing a rare Warhol from an actual art museum hidden on the Apollo 12 lander leg.
