Fascists have shit for brains
i get really overwhelmed shopping for clothes, i am wondering if it is feasible to go into a store and ask, like, "i need 3 complete outfits can you help me make that happen" like, is that a normal request to make of retail clothing places. like. torrid in the mall or something.
@june yeah my highschool bf did that job and loved it. they worked in one of the fancier stores in the mall and were in to… "color seasons"? or something? for determining clothes. but they loved finding outfits for people. obv different stores/employees are probably different but it's for sure a thing

And imagine if you agreed to the deal and next week Putin decided to declare war again… Now imagine this happening for every single peace agreement he has ever made with your country.
Inflation under Trump is only about half the rate under Biden. Voters are still just as mad.

This is ridiculous. From the very first line in the article:
"So far in President Trump's second term, prices in the US have risen only about half as quickly compared to his predecessor's four years in office."
So merely by the logic of that first sentence, it's worth pointing out that we are only half way through Trump's term, wiping out any claim that Trump's inflation is less. When you factor in that inflation compounds, that actually places it even higher, and this is only using basic math and the first sentence of your own article as sources.
What a sham of an article.
@octothorpe Considering how most Blizzard launches go, I don't think anyone else will either. 😁
@lisamelton Fair 🤣
now i gotta get ready for radio
@BestGirlGrace all, as they say, the numbers

I'ma escape my parents to somewhere in-or-around Chicago in October. I'm a zoomer "artist", currently-closeted trans woman, who's only firm resume credential for getting hired is working at a retirement place cafe for roughly 1.75 years.
I'm doing a lot for the first time to make this happen. Abstract online research about a place I've never been's starting to give me psychosis. I'm making this public for the first time cuz I'd like to know as many people and resources and esoteric whatnot as I can. What's the best possible way to be a poor stupid queer with moonshot ambition in Chicago
@detondev i think I have mutuals in The Chicago area
🎮 Playing Overcooked 2 (all by myself 😂) can be quite a challenge! I used to play it with some friends and fam back in the day, coach co-op 😎
Also testing out my multi-tasking skills, like when I used to play drums for fun in college; all it takes is a bit of practice 😄🥁
@musicvsartstuff
Overcooked 2 solo is a workout, switching between two chefs is a skill of its own. It also has online play on PC if you want friends back in the kitchen
I see a ploopy adept trackball, I press the little heart button. In some ways, I am extremely predictable.

Fediverse
Is anyone here familiar with coves.social? It's using a modified version of the Photon frontend, displaying Lemmy posts, and claims to use AT Protocol
We banned a spammer from this instance recently, and I went to see what instance it was coming from (in case there was more)
coves.social/community-guidelines
Coves is built on the AT Protocol, which means it’s part of a larger decentralized network. Your account and identity exist on your Personal Data Server (PDS), not on our servers. These guidelines and our moderation only apply to the official Coves AppView at coves.social. Other instances of Coves or other AT Protocol services have their own policies and moderation. If you’re banned or have content removed from our AppView, your AT Protocol identity and data on your PDS are unaffected — you can still use other services on the network.
They do credit Photon and they have released the source code for their modified frontend: coves.social/legal
I also found this on their GitHub: github.com/BrettM86/tidepool
Tidepool is a read-only ActivityPub → atproto bridge for the threadiverse. It follows Lemmy/PieFed/Mbin communities (FEP-1b12 group federation), materializes their posts, comments, and profiles as social.coves.* records in a virtual PDS it operates itself, and serves them over com.atproto.sync.* so the Coves AppView indexes fediverse communities exactly as it indexes native ones. Votes stay bridge-side as aggregates behind one sanctioned XRPC.
I think it’s neat that someone is working on this, but I’m a bit concerned that it’s read only from the threadiverse:
Sorry, the app encountered an unexpected error
