@elexia @Graham_LRR These are very specific instructions for a crash in shallow water and the first ones in the water don't just wade to shore, but are game to prepare a bouncy castle surprise for the little kid on board.

“The Cybertruck is survived by Musk, whose unconscionable wealth—net worth: $860 billion, give or take—means he has the means to torment us once more with whatever dumb fucking idea he has next, unless someone in our maybe-soon-to-be-functioning government wants to do something about that.”

"Have you disavowed the Muslim Brotherhood?"
"Do you condemn KHHamas?"
"Do you condemn October 7?"
"Do you condemn 9/11?"

Sounds like a validation-seeking, insecure piece of trash to me. Have you looked in the mirror lately? Have you disavowed and condemned your face?

"I've had another 82 years. I came home, fell in love, got married, had children and watched my family grow – thousands of young men never had the opportunity to experience any of those things, and that is tragic... All I ask is that, when we are no longer here to tell you ourselves, you don't forget them either."

Season 3 of Star Trek Discovery hits different after last Tuesday.

I remember Mastodon was working on groups so I imagine interaction from Mastodon to Lemmy would improve. Bonfire is rolling out groups pretty soon it seems. I’ve been trying it for a while now and I access both microblogs and groups from Bonfire.

likewise, i’ve rarely if ever seen a post from lemmy on mastodon. these two platforms just don’t seem to interact much. the fediverse is already very small. fragmenting it even further by having multiple services that basically don’t talk to each other is not good

I think part of this is the initial desire to model Fediverse platforms after mainstream counterparts. So you have Instagram-but-federated, Twitter-but-federated, Reddit-but-federated, YouTube-but-federated, TikTok-but-federated. These platforms don’t really interact with each other directly, so the Fediverse ended up modeling that incompatibility, too.

That’s the area projects like Mbin and Bonfire seem to be better at.

let's all be thankful Genius exists to explain obscure AAVE slang to stupid white people, who would otherwise be entirely confused about what this line means

llm user: uh just b/c llms cause harms elsewhere, that does not entail they will cause harm in our project

also llm user: I have adopted a moral framework wherein I am compelled to profit from slavery

we have reached a comfortable point where my wife does things happily that she doesn't like how I do them

@cr1901 I have all the questions about that

@fesshole I wonder if this will work on my auntie's sony tv...
