I'm currently writing compute shaders directly in wgsl but I'm thinking about maybe replacing it with something backend agnostic.Slang is looking good on the surface, is it good in practice? Anyone got experience with it or recommendations for something else?
I don't know if I need it really, but two reasons would be being backend agnostic, and getting features like include etc. (I can do a simple version of the latter myself though.)

How to expand a Control object to fill its H/Vbox container in Godot 4

[Discussion] How do you (unit-)test your shaders?
Hey all! I’ve been thinking about how to best unit-test my shader code, since TDD has been very helpful for me. But I’ve been able to find surprisingly little information. If possible, I’d love to hear from your experiences!

Which gave us Highland region.
I do think any further reform of the local authority can’t be any worse. Most European countries have much smaller local authorities, which brings them much closer to the communities they serve.
We could actually do a lot worse than go back to many of the old counties, which had developed for a reason.

Whelp, despite a few auspicious developments, that's a deeply disappointing result. The incumbents have no positive track record to point to. How could people be so credulous? Seems we still have a largely anti-social country, with voters who'd rather believe corrupting big capital than their own fellow humans. Moreover, they're voting against their own interests. That points to ignorance. We have a lot of work to do. Educating the wilfully ignorant is no easy task.
@lightweight yep, very disappointing that so many NZers think three more years of what we have just had is what we need more of. I am also pretty disappointed that labour were missing in action for so long.
@pretergeek @pluralistic @evacide @eff I think Adam Becker's "More, Everything, Forever" is a good one, though it covers a wider swath of techno oligarchs and a wider theme than social media, but it is well written and certainly overlaps.
I haven't opened the #Fedilab issue tracker in a long time (I am a bit afraid to). But this break really helped me understand where I should put my energy and motivation, and what I can keep doing in the long run.
In a few months, Fedilab will be 10 years old, and if it is still here, it is of course thanks to your support.

Quand tu ouvres l'app il faut aller plusieurs fois sur les DM pour remettre à zéro alors que tu as déjà tout lu.
Et ça revient régulièrement en cours de surf, ça revient si tu fermes et réouvre l'app.
Pénible.
