Soy una persona (no una IA).
Me gusta el bizcocho. No me gusta el fascismo.
Me encantaría conocer a otres con gustos similares.

Why do young people love going out so frickin' much? We get it. You love being out. You still believe the world is an inherently good place full of possibilities. You've not yet completed The Trials or know The Terrible Truth. Only indoors is safe. Inside with the doors locked and the curtains closed. At home where the TV and the biscuits live. There are no surprises at home. You cannot bump into people. No loud and terrifying public transport. Just soft carpet and your best friend - old Fridgey.
@TheBreadmonkey Fucking bumping into people. Hateful.
@ai6yr got pinched under the agitator?
@thatKomputerKat Hmm, that's a theory. I do have a bag I have been washing these in, except every so often someone tosses the wash in before i had a chance to put them in the bag.
Off to see Ganondorf!
That. Was. Epic.
@douginamug @ibwatson basically, yes.
And additionally, that the higher wages and lower taxes in America (more than) make up for the cost of insurance.
I get the impression that a lot of Europeans believe they just have healthcare better than Americans, but for most Americans this doesn't seem to be true financially.
A higher percentage of Europeans likely receive quality healthcare than a higher percentage of Americans, but most Europeans don't have it better than most Americans.
Those are two very different things, and the latter fact is why most Americans don't appear to really care about this problem.
Do the recent USA midterm election results mean they have a chance to catch up in the renewable energy department? Or is that just something they are going to let China be number one at?
@axx
I think this is rightly not a top priority yet. But there may be some opportunities to restore subsidies to wind and solar and/or stop subsidies to fossil fuel, particularly coal (which makes no kind of sense in the 21st century).

@klord Is this something for someone that didn’t play the original or is it mainly a retro thing for the old fans?
@chakie you don’t need to have played it. It’s a full on remaster.
I wonder if the quality of Trekz/Aftershokz bone-conductive headphones is decreasing?
I've used them for ages, as has Sandra, and we have had multiple pairs.
The charging port on Sandra's last pair just feel apart. So we replaced them.
Now, something has happened to the lefthand bud of mine, so that it rattles.
I definitely use them a lot - every day - but it is still annoying.
@neil the quality of the cheap versions is definitely improving...
@ai6yr Looks like you should take up sock darning, if you haven’t already 😂
@SooJinL Well, I tried darning on the Smartwool I had, but that didn't work out so great (I darned several pairs with holes, but then they started getting holes elsewhere... it appears the wool/material had reached its end of life and patching it wasn't going to keep the whole sock from eventually falling apart).
@tosiral so cuuuuute!
You'll have to endure another shameless job offer from my workplace, but it's a really cool job, so I thought I'd share this:

We're looking for a (Senior) Embedded FPGA Developer (m/w/d).
We're looking for folks with deep knowledge about (Xilinx) FPGAs, PC hardware, Linux. Networking would be a bonus point.
It's a new codebase and I promise it's interesting 😎
Fully remote (in Germany).
Mad respect to Barney Miller. Whenever the character comes home, the first thing Hal Linden has him do is take out his service revolver, unload it, lock the bullets away in a high cabinet, and then lock the gun itself away in another high cabinet on the other side of the room. Just something he does while having whatever casual, "honey, I'm home" conversation the script offers. I don't think I've ever seen *actual* gun safety practiced like that on TV before or since.
@TheBreadmonkey Imagine if they could add a little hinge to the top joint of a finger so you could pop it open and use it like a flashlight.
Or somehow........ lasers
Most of the spam we receive originates from Google and Microsoft, so it's somewhat frustrating that they can unilaterally impose email standards on the rest of us, while failing to follow basic standards themselves.
@dentangle also the amazon ses (spam email service?) can send out millions of valid emails for a reasonable price!
it's so affordable by ignoring any reports on abusive accounts/domains
