We shouldn’t be forced to use toxic platforms that track and profile us in order to get public information.

Platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and YouTube track and profile their users so that they can target advertising towards them.

Their business models fuel online harms by pushing more and more extreme content to users. Despite this, these platforms are one of the primary ways that government departments share public information.

Tell your MP to support the EDM calling on the UK Government to ensure that all public sector social media content is published on open, decentralised and federated platforms!

@futurebird "And when we made the graph we found out the shape was REALLY weird. It had a basic bubbly shape but when we zoomed in close around the edges we found all these copies of the basic bubbly shape. And we don't know why. It doesn't seem like there *is* a reason why. Just there's a lot of very strange shapes in math if you can graph a problem the right way."

This is maybe not a short description, and it has the problem they won't get it if you haven't explain complexes yet

@julijane at least he disclosed to the project first, i can't complain really

I used to have heroes, people I look up to, when I was younger. Most of them did not turn out to beworthy of the status, and I was told not to have heroes.

Sometimes, though, you look at news, and it's hard not to.
