I needed a big-arse feature image representing my CV for the vanity site. I tried a screencap of the document all zoomed-out but people were still trying to click into the pages shown in it.
So I turned to VectorStock and found the perfect thing. If you get my sense of humour it's a little joke about me being old as the hills.

Anyone know about Harmony (ActivityPub chat like Discord)?
Federated social app: Discord-style servers and chat with ActivityPub.

I don’t remember hearing of it till now, yet it claims a lot of desired features. Github page shows only one contributor, one fork, 44 stars; lot of commits in the last week, oldest 3 years ago; GNU Affero General Public Licence v3.0.

New, from me:
Several staffers at the White House are using computers or mobile devices equipped with residential proxy services that render their internet address available for others to rent, security experts warned today. One of the proxy services is a Russian company whose founder’s web hosting business was ground zero for cyberattacks against election systems in Arizona and Illinois in 2016.

Broken beyond repair…

I don’t think you quite understand why AI is so bad and why local models are no different. whynoai.info

Yeah the long term upkeep tends to be the biggest problem.
But then again, normal projects have that too. Seen plenty of small projects get worked on like crazy for a few months and the author burns themselves out.
Ai like with most things just speed up the process. Lol

In the UK, Toys R Us are now within WHSmith's stores (rebranded as TJ Jones) which also houses the Post Office :)
Visual Studio Code’s “Code Helper” is currently spawning so many copies of `rg` that I can’t even invoke `ps aux | grep rg` to count how many copies it has spawned.
This is fine.
@freakboy3742 how the!?! what were you trying to do before this?

In 2027, I’d like to hold two Leaders from Law workshops, the one in Indiana and another at The University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law. The student chapter of ACS in South Carolina already expressed a desire to host. I imagine last night will only make them more eager.
Doing two workshops in one year means more travel and accommodation costs for me and an assistant. I’d also like to be able to defray costs for attendees not resident at the workshop locations. 7/
For example, we will invite law students from Illinois and Kentucky to the Indiana workshop and being able to subsidize their gas costs would be fantastic. 8/
