I once setup a OCF inverted v dipole on top of a friends barn, and got Australia from Fresno, CA. It's really a crap shoot.
Ah, quite regular to get to Australia for me! Gets in quite well depending on time of year, band, etc.

@NewtonMark And Tx Gov Greg Abbott lost to Dem Gina Hinojosa.
@PaulMcEwan Hahahahaha
Susan Collins concedes!
OMFG, I thought we’d be stuck with that pain in the ass for the rest of my life.
@tek Had to look up who this is. jfc we need term limits so badly...
Congratulations!!
Such a well deserved election night for everyone in the USA who voted for this and put in the work!!
I'm still too stunned to celebrate, haha. Sitting here in Europe, thinking I know some basics about US swing states / red states / blue states and then they call Kansas and Iowa for Democrats!!
@Mab_813 It's past midnight here in Virginia, but I don't think I'm going to be able to sleep tonight. OMG I compare this to how so many of us were in absolute horror and shock and in tears when Trump won - each time. I was numb. Now I'm stunned by thrilled. Smiling ear to ear.
@fluffy yeah basically. i looked at some tools like terraform but i really didn't trust the dependencies and i didn't see a justification for so much complexity. so my thing is just python and some basic libs, uses the linode rest api
@scanlime yeah terraform is pretty overly-complicated for homelab purposes. I had to work with it at a couple of jobs where it made some amount of sense for doing, like, S3 config management with redundancy and load balancers and such, but I absolutely would not use it for personal use
lol Greg Abbott didn’t even wait for the networks to call his race before conceding
double lol Susan Collins didn't wait for the networks to call her race before conceding either
@tek Longest two terms ever
@GeoffWozniak I never knew someone could be in office for 147 years.
Even the ghost of Dianne Feinstein was, like, this has gone on too long.
Susan Collin conceded! #USpol

Jared Leto is the worst.
@kims Colum’s opponent blocked him from appointment to federal judiciary, for antisemitic and anti-trans b.s. reasons. If elected, he’d be Mississippi’s first African-American Senator since Reconstruction. https://www.cnn.com/2026/03/10/politics/cindy-hyde-smith-scott-colom-missisippi-senate-race
