Look around. What's something beautiful near you right now?
You don't actually want LLMs; you want public libraries & librarians.
You only think you want LLMs because you haven't been to the library recently enough or talked to a librarian.
I’m not celebrating anything until the AP or equally sober source calls the race. And I’m not getting fully celebratory until we see what happens to counts and certifications in the coming weeks.
This isn’t me being negative. I always wait for the full facts about elections to emerge before I react.

I was wondering if any of the writers here on the Fedi have tried Hugh Howey's (author of the “Silo“ series) writing app "Neo" and what your thoughts on it are?
So far I like it. It does have a way of encouraging you to continue writing more so than your average text editor.
@Mrfunkedude that seems really cool!
i feel like you could sub in sentences about inventions of women too, including computers, programming, wifi, etc etc etc and talk about how we're told we don't belong and how men started charging admission
I have always found the word "gubernatorial" very silly
@scruss Totally. Another one that bugs me is “sesquicentennial.”
@tinker the fash are very persnickety about how Real names are.
@munin - Gulf of Mexico and Lake Ontario fuming in the corner. But the fash love flaunting hypocrisy, don't they.
Whew, finally sold another bicycle. Before rusting season 🤪
(convinced there is *not* a large market for non-electric bikes here)
@VeroniqueB99 IKR?!
@mastodonmigration (that's where I vote! Everyone has always told me 'my vote didn't matter' so I'm floored)
Nothing makes me more confident in the American electorate than swerving back and forth like a drunk driver.
@lapcatsoftware That is as on point as one can get.
"If you are in a long line for voting, please take a photo of the line outside, fill out your info (contact name and phone # so delivery person can find you) and hand out the delivered pizza to people waiting in line. It's almost dinner time. We need people to STAY IN LINE."

@50501Houston Thanks. Just donated.

I saw a guy break his leg and smash his teeth in a stand-up scooter crash, and I have some thoughts
@seabikeblog As a micromobility advocate, I would identify more as an e-scooter rider than a bicycle rider though I have owned both (and currently just a bicycle). I *love* e-scooters! But I agree with you that it seems like there's a bit of a cultural wall between that demo and cyclists. In attending various local rides & meetups in Portland, I've often been the *only* person with an e-scooter (even though I see plenty of scooter riders around generally).
Spotted in our local high school. The kids may, in fact, be alright.
@Rob_T_Firefly Oh I like this.
