#Linus died this morning.
@Nonilex Oh I am so deeply sorry to hear about beautiful Linus. We know how much it hurts. And don't wish to intrude, but we have found over the years, with the loss of several of our furry family members (our children), that the pet loss articles at www.griefhealing.com were so helpful. Not to lessen our grief, but to understand it better. Our hearts go out to you. May his memory overflow your heart with love. I cannot imagine anything but that Linus knew how deeply he was loved. Heart hugs.

In today's latest #Flatpak refresh, we removed access to all host files by default. Thanks to updates in #wxWidgets, we no longer need this permission, as the file dialog now uses portals by default. Hooray! 🎉
Next up, we want to address scripting with our Flatpak. If anyone has any ideas on how we should do it (design or code-wise), please let us know.
I've long talked about public service IT procurement (globally but esp in NZ) with derision, especially towards the 'priorities and values' of the decision makers. I've been saying they have made mostly very bad decisions for decades & I believe the constant stream of media we hear about bungled implementations, budget blowouts, agency heads misleading Ministers, and the generally woeful state of pub-serv tech supports my assertions. I think I understand what the decision makers got wrong. 1/n
@lightweight This whole thread is worth a read. Thanks!
