@moira oh shit this was the original thread or subject that I followed you for lol
I mean it looks pretty good. Honestly without some sort of mechanical cleaning (scrubbin') or an ultrasonic cleaner I'd say that is pretty close to mint
@elebertus Oh there was both. I used a copper brush _and_ an ultrasonic cleaner.
@Xibanya you never know. There might be a massive poisoning in red gerrymandered areas. Your vote might count.
@adriano insh'allah
🗣️ The layoffs will continue until morale improves
@davidcelis I don't understand why layoff percentages this high don't automatically trigger layoffs of the CEO and possibly other C-suite and SVP level roles due to the unbelievable incompetence and failed leadership demonstrated.
On second thought, I completely understand. 🫠
spiritual matters aside, my voting blue in a red state also accomplished something meaningful: i got a sticker

@aphyr Yep. Some of our clad cookware buzzes a bit too, but the cast iron stuff does not make any noise at all.
@kevin Oh man, I bought a ScanPan from the local cookware shop and while it seemed well made, it sang/vibrated so badly it started moving across the cooktop, even with water in it. The cast iron is basically silent. I wound up with heavy Demeyere pots/pans which are pretty darn quiet--a little buzzing sometimes but nothing major.
Wow, Google, wow. You're determined to burn off what goodwill you have left in the world, aren't you?

I hope it happens tonight
@JonBaker pretty stressful night, better have some hamburgers and chug diet coke nonstop
i voted, which in my religion grants an indulgence (to be able to bitch about politics for the next two years)

@Crazypedia that looks cool 😎 🆒
@Peace Respectfully, the difference between Freedom of Speech and Expression is not semantics.
There is no side - if you're Canadian, you're bound to the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
It does not protect hate speech, where Freedom of Speech in the US does.
This is a very strong line and has been tested in the Supreme Court.
What Danielle wants to do will end up in court and be defeated... as always.
Thanks for the update
@signalstation I think if we keep working on it, we'll swim with the upper CRUST ACE AN' all!
easy there, don't Brachyura brain tryna come up with ornate puns!
Here’s the SEIU petition for full en banc review. https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.ca9.34809698-a4bb-456f-906e-40cfcf74ab7a/gov.uscourts.ca9.34809698-a4bb-456f-906e-40cfcf74ab7a.35.1.pdf
This case matters both for immediate consequences and points of law. So I’ll keep posting about its progress through the Circuit and potentially to the Roberts Court. 3/3
@heidilifeldman Thank you.

@kevin yeah that is weird. OTOH they are temperature-sensing burners I think, and I'm realizing I can tell when they're at a stable temp because of the subtle on/off coil whine the burners make.
@aphyr Yep. Some of our clad cookware buzzes a bit too, but the cast iron stuff does not make any noise at all.
@wohali Yeah. I like my cast iron aesthetically but it is SUCH a tank. I'm always worried about chipping the sink/stove.
@wohali also, like, it's really not *bad*. You could probably keep doing cast iron exclusively if you liked it! It's just that almost all my cookware was aluminum and didn't work, and I figured if I was replacing it I might as well go stainless.

Took me a couple weeks but I think I'm getting the hang of induction and doing everything on stainless steel. They were right--it really is faster and more precise than gas. I'm working on preheating my pans and have switched out to higher smoke point oils, and I can get pancakes and omelettes to slide right off now.
Still getting the hang of temperature levels--turns out a lot of my intuition was based on looking at the flame. Gotta keep practicing.
Also for the first time in my life I am a Clean Stove person???? I *hated* cleaning the gas burners, and my stove always looked like a disaster.
