Fantastic idea but I have always thought that more than a lack of tools, the problem is the cost of hosting in the case of development, and the difficulty of monetization in the case of peertube-type content creators. But hey, it’s my idea, maybe I’m wrong and projects like this are sure to help a lot.

<warning: rambling to no one>
(I had been purging stuff I hadn't been wearing, but suddenly after learning how to modify clothing the formula has changed dramatically... several pairs of new pants I would not wear suddenly made wearable because I added pockets and zippers. And all the t-shirts that didn't fit me re-cut and sewn to my size... Amazing what learning sewing does for that whole business)
@ai6yr also that it can start small with learning basic mending techniques! We (collectively, in the US) toss so many clothes that could be patched or altered.
I try to avoid overtly political content but this one is too crazy to not post.
“Look I haven’t cast my vote yet.”
So you might change your mind, again?

@paul it’s so nice that she’s blowing up like this now because at least it won’t take decades for people to realize she’s a shill for evil people.
It arrived too late for Halloween, but never mind!
@neil It's scary alright. 😁
the explosion of new fediverse servers is exciting, but it also means entertaining new bugs. i just noticed that epiktistes stored its first ever empty hashtag (just a #) on sept 16th, which means we operated for over six years until some new server federated that (naming no names, assigning no blame...)
@toddsundsted lmao, yeah there are sure a lot of new platforms emerging.
FediDB has a news feed that tracks just new software discovered!
"Israeli forces are maintaining their siege on Hebron for the 10th consecutive day, threatening to expand their offensive and forcing more Palestinian families from their homes."
@danyork Ah, there is light till 7:00pm in Uganda, and I hear that you have short days
@2003MugishaPhocit Yes, we are in our northern winter cycle where our days gets shorter and shorter until the solstice on December 21. And with our recent time change in the US, the sun now sets around 4:30pm (and will keep getting earlier). So by 5 or 5:30pm, it's getting quite dark!
Anthropic think they should be able to release a model that kills 50 humans and causes $1bn of financial damage to organisations before there is talk of regulation.
