On a brighter note, some ridiculously cool things are possible here in the future. I just found out:
- In sway, you can create a "headless" output (a fake monitor) with
swaymsg create_output. You can set its resolution and position as if it were a real screen (e.g., to the right of the real monitors). Then: - You can share that monitor with
wayvnc -o HEADLESS-1. That will expose it via a VNC server listening on localhost:5900. - Then you can make an ssh tunnel from another machine with
ssh -L 5900:localhost:5900 user@remote, and open a VNC client on the other machine (e.g., wlvncc localhost; use -s to disable GPU if needed).
The result of these shenanigans is that you can use another machine as an extra monitor for the main one. It behaves just like a regular monitor for sway: I can drag a window to the other screen, and it shows up on the other computer.

You would have to be a nutty to call any digital communications anonymous. The devices that run the code are full of holes.
Sudo- anonymous is the best you can get, be honest, stay safe.

Surprised no one else mentioned it yet. Connect is the best app by far of any that I’ve used, and it’s fully ad free and privacy conscious. Has a ton of customization options and really great quality of life features.

@futzle Oh, you Victorians! Rain here in Melbourne is just wet air that that gently wafts about. It's not proper rain unless it's horizontal and stripping the paint off your house. If you're not using your umbrella as a battering ram, it's not worth putting it up.

There's a clear up tick on daily users growing and we've crossed the 50k line as of yesterday! LETSSS GOOO!
All phones are foldable, it just takes more effort with some than others.

It's interesting that mainstream tech makes it easy to use you, while alternative tech makes it hard to use freedom.
One is built for control - and works very well at it.
The other is built for freedom - but often works badly at delivering it.
