AHA. This is certainly how I ended up on their spam list. Rather terrible that the choices in our world are "fascist right wing racists controlled by billionaires" and "people using dark pattern mass SMS spam to raise money"
@GramrgednAngel I'll tell you what, if the Republicans refuse to seat elected Democrats, I will be down in DC, probably with a million or two others, screaming my head off. I really hope it doesn't come to that, but that would be the last straw.

You may be right. It is very tight. That race has not blow apart in the last few days like the others, but there is also scant polling.

It occurs to me this will be the first major American election in decades that won't be covered by my old employer CBS News Radio -- because, thanks to David Ellison and Bari Weiss, it no longer exists.
It was always exciting to be anchoring newscasts as results were coming in -- a journalism challenge in real time.

@ai6yr Dang. Hiking, backpacking, etc. is an area that I still would 100% work only with a paper map printed by a reliable source.
Even if I fully trusted the digital information, I wouldn't trust a digital device in the wilderness without backup.
Heck, when I travel, I still carry printed copies of my boarding pass and any reservation information. And I consider myself a technologist!
