To steal a phrase from Winston Churchill, tomorrow's election is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, hopefully, the end of the beginning.

"Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties, and so bear ourselves that, if the United States of America last for a thousand years, people will still say, 'This was their finest hour'.

@amadeus Do you know if you can set the window borders to be chamfered instead of rounded?
@ftranschel Not to the best of my knowledge, no.

@ai6yr that's good to hear. Now that they're replanted this is me
@robertcadena Ha! When it gets larger, the trick (believe it or not) is to drop some "Florel Fruit Eliminator" in the crown, which stimulates it forming a fruit. (Florel contains a hormone used to prevent fruiting in crabapples/etc. but which stimulates the development of pineapples). I do find they have to get to about 2 feet or 3 feet wide to be able to support fruiting.... I usually have them in 15 gallon pots at that point.

People telling you to 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗼𝗯𝗲𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴, stop b00tlicking, stop celebrity-worshipping, stop simping for people who want to use your bones as fuel, LOVE YOU.
Okay, you don't like the tone, you take offence, you think they are "getting left behind" or "causing trouble", you think they don't understand the future. Okay.

Consulting with the local Jets mafia and my son here in Vancouver, as well as my brother in law in Winnipeg we've concluded our candidate for next coach of the Winnipeg Jets should be Bruce Cassidy.

Goodreads removed RSS and some people are asking for alternatives on Reddit; maybe worth pointing to BookWyrm and NeoDB?
Goodreads removed RSS and some people are asking for... #fediverse #goodreads #bookwyrm #neodb #rssfeeds
Both fediverse softwares that support user reviews for books, both have RSS support natively (no Piefed/Misskey bridge needed), and some comments also seem discontent with Amazon's mismanagement overall.

@ariadne@social.treehouse.systems Approximately 30 seconds before my egg cracked in 2019.
@julie being an elf is its own gender imo
The Internet brings people together in many different ways.
Every so often, I get an email from the leader of a cub pack somewhere in the USA. My email address is similar to that of a parent of one of their cubs, I imagine.
The leader tries to delete my address from their Gmail account, and sometimes it returns.
When it does, we have a pleasant exchange of email, until the next time.
@neil One of my email addresses is similar to a farmers market in Washington State. I've had a number of interesting messages over the years, including from law enforcement following up after some incident.
@misty fannntastic thank you! that was exactly what i was looking for. i'm so glad that one arcade was able to survive there 🙏
definitely am going to make a stop at gamedeals and press start as well. sounds like new west is the place to be.
@vga256 You’re welcome! Let me know if I can help with anything else. How long are you over?
