@Crazypedia omg that last boost ... yes Picard is why I am so frequently disappointed with Authority
It's the episode when Trip and this Alien crashland (seperated) on a planet, they cannot talk to each other (no Hoshi) and first steal from each other, try to kill each other and in the end they become friends and help each other until they get rescued.
Yeah. I started to remember something like that. Middle season, 2 or 3? Don't remember what it's called.

I would suggest that everyone put this in your phone now, so you have it before needing it.
Baby mango trees are grown and cared for in Coachella Valley nurseries. Eventually they will be planted outside and produce the mangos we enjoy. #WeFeedYou

@hrefna that does not consider their own managerial inputs. A manager can buffer their reports but only imperfectly
@draNgNon Not really—the employee will often lose trust in the manager directly, regardless of why that feedback comes down.
It can be entirely from upper management, but unless the manager either buffers it or recognizes what is happening and couches their explanation accordingly (which most aren't willing to do, though I've met exceptions), the employee is still going to lose trust in them.
@dajb I had an email draft to you started actually.
Even the microplastics don’t taste good anymore.
One thing I thought of and explained as contrast to all the vibey stuff going on is the demoscene. Pushing the limits of old computers as art. There's no reason to do it except craft and joy.
But of course, this weekend I saw an article where someone tried to do just that. Even on HN people were saying, why? You're missing the point of the demoscene. There's nothing to "gain" from the demoscene other than community and craft.
If you're using an LLM to try to understand and explain to you how a technique works, I suppose that's one thing. But if you're using it to build a demo, why? Exploring the limits is only there for community joy. There's no other reason to do it.
But every community, the joy and artistry is torn out of it. Intellectual strip mining.
Почему, когда я сажусь покушать и посмотреть киношку, я обязательно становлюсь всем одновременно нужен?
Что-то это уже начинает утомлять.
@startrekgifs Probably ENT anyway from the aspect ratio.

@algernon it’s a shame both hn and lobsters are shit.
I used to find genuinely interesting stuff worth commenting on, on lobsters.
Now it’s mostly slop.
I deactivated but I suspect pushcx also banned me because I can’t reactivate my account lmao
I may have got a bit heated with him about him letting Nazis into his “garden party”
@Byte I have yet to delete my lobsters account. Too busy with other things to take care of that. :(
It is sad, though, yes. I had some great chats on both HN and lobsters in the past, same both of them decided to shovel some shit in.
@kategorischunfaehig Thanks. Although, we are not yet running v5... But soon.
@rolle Take all the time you need

Wafrn technically supports MastoAPI now even if it's extremely experimental. Is this relying on more than just that?
@daemonspudguy Yes, we can also write a custom driver to for software without full MastoAPI support
"The Voyager 1 spacecraft, which was designed for a five-year mission to observe Jupiter and Saturn, is about to reach a distance of one light-day from Earth after nearly 50 years in flight."
Maine, you deserve better. Now is your chance to send someone who fights for you to Washington.
@TroyJackson207 is a fifth-generation logger who knows working families' struggles. As Maine’s Senate President, he fought to raise wages, lower the cost of prescription drugs, and provide free lunch to every student in the state.
