I’m honestly a little befuddled that an incorporated entity could put “our core product may end humanity” in its IPO prospectus, and we didn’t just immediately march its entire executive team to the nearest bog and ritually strangle them, then disband the company and redistribute its assets, then gather and incinerate all their intellectual property.
@ai6yr We are supposed to get hammered with rain and storms here in Georgia on Wednesday. I can't tell if will be because of all the storms in Florida or from that Nor'easter buzzsawing from the East.

@eishiya he managed to vaccinate Joh without problems and Joh's arm *does* hurt.
I'm worried I caught him failing and he just brushed it off because he didn't want to do it again.
@vicorva@mastodon.art @eishiya@mastodon.art Yeah, this is the situation I'd go back and complain and request a redo.
The vast majority of congressional races in the U.S. midterms are rated solid Republican or solid Democrat. What's it like to run if you know you'll probably lose? @npr talked to Lisa Kinney, the Democratic candidate for the lone House seat in Wyoming, which has only sent Republicans to Congress since the late 1970s.
@epilepticrabbit Yay! NICE ONE.

@epilepticrabbit Also, congrats on finding a badge issuing thing I'd not come across before!
"If you’d told me a decade ago that Wendy's would release one of the most talked-about indie RPGs of 2026, I’d have assumed your burger had some dodgy mushrooms. Yet here we are: it's actually happening."

@vicorva "Normal excess"?! I've never had *any* excess during my COVID vaccinations. Maybe it's normal for him and he's just never managed to vaccinate anybody.
Trump is going to hold a last pre-election event in front of the Reflecting Pool, where he absolutely will talk about vandalism. Ironic, since the only vandalism is what Trump himself has been doing to both Washington DC landmarks, and to the nation's morals and ethics and reputation.
after watching k-on season 1 13 episodes and season 2 15 episodes, probably this is peak. i'm so thrilled to see other kyoani titles in 00s-early 10s.

So I paid a fortune for a covid vaccination today, because I have no choice.
Except.
The guy took forever to do the vaccination. I didn't feel it, a surprising amount of liquid flowed down my arm when he finished (he said it was 'just normal excess, don't worry' when I asked), the wound was so shallow it didn't even bleed, and I have no arm pain whatsoever and no symptoms or side-effects.
I sort of think he didn't manage to get any vaccine into my arm?? 😱
Haha no, it is either ftp or https. I do understand the confusion when the URI is something like https://ftp.whateverdoma.in - but that only means it is served over https.
We already have ftp, ftps, ftpes, sftp, no need to add httpsftp to that as well.
@lilithsaintcrow I wonder if this writer would be willing to guest-post this to Writers Beware? Might be quite useful in terms of visibility to other writers
@Zumbador So far as I know, Writer Beware has been notified of several problems to do with this “publisher”. I’m hopeful the growing clamor will warn other indie authors.
The UK is now a place where you can openly say you support genocide but will be arrested if you say you're against it.
This London police officer is itching to arrest this activist but can't because she flipped the story with a sign that says "I support genocide. I oppose Palestine Action." 😜
May all our subversive ways be this effective and fun 🙏🏽
