this is your regular reminder that "intelligence" is a eugenics construct without a stable definition, and that "natural intelligence" is thus not an appropriate counter to "artificial intelligence"

here's some words that aren't imbued with ableist/racist eugenics ideology (i think, plz correct me if wrong), and which "ai" can't accomplish: creativity, knowledge, understanding, wisdom, insight, imagination, reflexivity, reasoning, thinking

feel free to add your own

@mro Nice! Good writeup.

Of all the tiling wm's I tried, i3 was not one of them. It looks quite good.

I've explored fvwm, Openbox, AwesomeWM, wmii, but over a decade back discovered DWM, found happiness and set up camp.

@fj the french grid is not to the service of "sovereign" fascist technology.

These fucking assholes drive up the cost of so many basic things that are central to people's lives, and then claim that, because of the shortage and expense THEY CREATED, we should just let the oligarchs have it all and sharecrop from them in perpetuity.

Fuck these people. Every one of them.

Hello, everyone! This is the second part of our tutorial on creating a sky shader in Godot 4. So far, we’ve created the daytime half of the effect, and in this episode, we’ll tackle the nighttime version.

ActivityPub.Academy is plagued by spam accounts posting hateful and illegal content. I hoped that deleting accounts after one day would prevent this, but I was mistaken. Since I don't have the time to moderate the instance, I unfortunately have to take it offline. I will think about ways to provide the academy in some other form. Until then, you can find the source code on https://github.com/sgrj/mastodon.

ActivityPub.Academy was where many of us checked whether our activities actually arrived anywhere. Thanks @crepels for running it so well for so long.

We're carrying that forward. @z9mb1, @2chanhaeng and I maintain Fedify, and with @gaebalgom the four of us are building @drfed, a web platform for developing and debugging #ActivityPub implementations, with NLnet NGI0 Commons Fund support.

Fediverse developers, we hope it earns a place in your toolkit: https://drfed.org/.
