You have my sympathies. LOL
I know better now to dehydrate my peppers outdoors on my deck while the weather is dry. I also use parchment paper on the grills so I don't have to pick off the peppers and the grills don't pick up the heat+flavor from the peppers.
@femme_mal @BakerRL75 @darkuncle Ooof... realized the silicone mat I am using for these is going to be permanently spicy.

Studying how Papyrix renders XTC ebooks... Which is a format specifically designed for this device.
To open such a file it closes anything already open, defers to a support lib for parsing it, clears metadata, retrieves the title to copy over to that metadata falling back to using the filename, retrieves the author falling back to an empty string, creates a cache directory, assembles (via helper) for the cover BMP, retrieves the parser's page count, & zeroes out some progress properties.
1/?
The close method defers to the parser & clears that captured metadata.
There's getters for the properties & those of the parser.
To get a ToC entry it validates with the parser that it has a table-of-contents & that the index is in range, retrieves the chapter array from the parser & the given index into it, & copies the data out.
There's a couple utils for assembling filepaths.
Another method defers to `xtc::generateCoverBmpFromParser` if the file doesn't already exist.
2/5?
@BakerRL75 @femme_mal @darkuncle 😬
Well, I dumped over a box of nails out in the shed putting the hot peppers in the dehydrator, but now I am afraid to go out there to retrieve them, lol.

I have just learned about elect.horse, which is a fun game where you use totally above board tactics to make sure the horse wins reelection, independent from the popular vote!
(This honestly seems like the best possible way to get people to understand gerrymandering)

Wren's Halloween
We took her to a forest for the first time! She was so excited and confident. I didn't manage to get a picture of all the times she turned around to watch over Joh's shoulder (we said she was being very pikachu).
(I'll try to post some videos in thread)

That trunk of humours, that bolting-hutch of beastliness, that swollen parcel of dropsies, that huge bombard of sack, that stuffed cloak-bag of guts, that roasted Manningtree ox with pudding in his belly, that reverend vice, that grey Iniquity, that father ruffian, that vanity in years?
