I was in an area of Berlin where they had a granite line in the sidewalk to show you were the wall once ran. I would love to see Berlin again some day.
@futurebird there's a lot of such little reminders of the Wall around the city. Along with bigger memorial sites and remaining actual pieces of it

But I follow at least one active account (even on mastodon.social) that looks blank although I follow them since a while.
For me, this is the only thing that really disturbs me here. Mastodon is supposed to have no "algorithm" but this behaviour really feels like a completely intransparent algorithm. ☹️
Are there tools to better understand/visualise the servers' connections?
If you're following an active account, all its posts made after the moment you followed will show up on your server. The only way it could remain blank is if it never posted after you followed.
Do you have a screenshot of the account looking blank?

@lritter A guy can dream. But yeah, perhaps they'll invent some kind of new type of DRM or obfuscation or whatever else. Or switch to SaaS completely. They intend to keep their position and won't give up easily, that's for sure.
But at least now we might be armed well enough to crack whatever they can throw at us.
