to reveal a natural capsule is no small deed — it requires the combined power of three entire sisters working together. It's no wonder everyone's talking about it
Am I the first person ever to run a Bourne shell on a Commodore 64 I wonder.
A 1MHz 6502 sucks at disk I/O, sucks at copying memory and sucks at running C code, especially when the C code has to be optimized for space not speed. But it works.
I have plans for REU support which I think will make it much much faster assuming i can get away with a few tricks and the timing doesn't break anything.
the natural capsule... it was revealed to me by three sisters....

“Sóc brasiler. Molta gent es pensava que després de la primera volta ja estava tot perdut i que estàvem fotuts, però tothom es va llançar als carrers i a les xarxes socials com si no hi hagués un demà. Ens vam unir tots, joves i gent gran, estudiants i treballadors. Durant tres setmanes vam deixar de banda totes les baralles internes de les esquerres i vam actuar com un sol organisme. Junts vam fer allò que es creia impossible, perquè no havia passat mai. Vosaltres també ho podeu fer!”
@spla Això de fer dos voltes a les eleccions, amb aquest cas es demostra que val d'alguna cosa!

i think i reacted so positively to this because the text "three sisters reveal the natural capsule everyone's talking about" is an incredible Post in itself. A+ posting.
today we got lots of alternative keycaps for kailh choc keyswitches that we use in all our laptops/keyboards so far. ordered them at keebsupply!
everyone's talking about it? yes. and it's completely natural.
@brad @MaddieM4 I hated the default choices for CDE whenever I had to use the university *nix labs in the late 90s early 2000s.
The CDEs usually came as is, as the university labs where generally plugged in. No common setup or configuration.
The state of my settings wasn't held, which to me, coming from home PC and NT4 corporate land felt unfinished.
@brad @MaddieM4 I've been a KDE user for a long time.
But it's always felt Hella messy like that university set-up. Not fun messy.
Like does an office suite really need to be installed from a default in our distos? I'm not sure it does, but we've been conditioned to expect it.
I'm finding the simplicity of a tiling manager pretty awesome.
@neil I was thinking of making one, if that helps :-)
@revk Absolutely! Although I really should just get to grips with installing a Faikout, as that is really what I need here. But taking apart the AC doesn't fill me with joy.
imagining people (everyone) talking about a natural capsule. i imagine it must be something like "have you seen that new natural capsule"
China's AI stocks lost $480 billion. But SK Hynix posted record profits and says RAM stays scarce till 2030. Bubbles pop, prices don't.
@Canageek@wandering.shop @WizardOfDocs@wandering.shop i'll preface this saying that my experience is related to Edinburgh and will be different in other parts of Scotland, and that it was a few years ago.
so, to get on T you have 2 paths: via NHS or private.
via NHS, your GP needs to refer you to the gender clinic (usually after a physiatrist visit to confirm you're trans, but if you have all that from your previous doc, that will be skipped). currently the waitlist for the Edinburgh gender clinic is around 2.5 years (Glasgow is in the 100s years (no this is not a joke) and the highlands a couple months).
privately is much quicker but obviously more expensive, since you'll need to pay for both the doc and the prescription.
at the time i got myself on the NHS waiting list, then got myself on T privately until i could switch. i went with waterside clinic, though they were yourGP at the time and the doc i saw doesn't seem to work there anymore.
i moved to Scotland from England, and due to transphobic GP clinic who refused to continue my injections (under the pretext of not trusting English doctors and then sending me a letter saying they wouldn't be able to proceed with my care), i had to start from scratch and stop T until i could save enough for a private appointment. however, since i had sent over all the previous documents from the old doctors, i got my first injection that same day.
if you do self injections it will be much easier, just make sure to have the biggest supply you can legally bring over to tide you over until you can get it privately/via NHS.
no idea if foreign prescriptions can be honoured here, worth checking.
good luck!
@thegoblinwitch @WizardOfDocs Thank you!
doctors reveal a capsule: ok, no big deal. that's just what's happens.
one sister reveals a capsule: why didn't she get her siblings in on it?
two sisters reveal a capsule: we're getting somewhere. it's like the sisters have collaborated on the capsule.
three sisters reveal a capsule: hoachy moachy this is the stuff. the mystical sister triad. and on top of that the capsule is natural.
@laura_malvoyante has reviewed Jolla products before, and we were of course delighted to see her latest deep dive into the Jolla Phone. This is indeed a very interesting watch, as Laura puts the Jolla Phone in a seven-day, real-life, primary device test, showing how things work in daily use. And much more!
Thank you, Laura, for this review ♥️This is the kind of feedback that we at Jolla build on 💪⚓

E.g. U3…
To ease the transition for new users, #NetBSD -current now includes an alternative editor to vi(1) and xedit(1) in its base system, atto(1). https://man.netbsd.org/atto.1
It is a modeless screen-based editor similar to nano, pico, xedit, or emacs. It is only 48 kilobytes, making it suitable for inclusion in the rescue system.
(This is real, but I'm honestly missing an opportunity by not posting it on 1 April. Let the editor wars commence!)
@KekunPlazas My read is that the dev was being very patient in guiding the OP into understanding that using LLMs is unwise, instead of simply telling the user outright not to use the slop machine. It's a more dillomatic approach versus a more aggressive one, but the gial seems to be aligned with what you and I would want to see.
@vtrlx That's likely the right thing to do. I'm so deperate to find safe places in FOSS that anything that isn't a firm "fuck off" trips me up, and my brain interprets it as acceptance of LLMs. I probably should get away from computers for some time.
@ne_ @0xabad1dea @davidgerard That isn’t really what they write though, is it? Taken slightly out of context.
@discoursology @ne_ @0xabad1dea we should definitely take the guys who just got busted at their word about their excuses, ok
why are you people like this
