And here I was thinking I was silly for asking that question last month on where to find you if we’re down. I ruined it guys, it’s my fault. I jinxed it. 😂😭😭

poVoq here. I am starting to think I am cursed, because everything works fine (or is at least fixable with a remote server restart) until the second I go on a longer business trip and can’t easily access the hardware.

Have you tried leaving for a couple hours and then coming back and giving the server a couple of bytes of a treat? You know, ease the server into you leaving.

@Sweetshark @daemonspudguy @atax1a oh wow really *that* much

i knew it was ~50% Collabora when they threw Collabora out of TDF, what on earth are they *doing* in there now

do you know Collabora's AI code policy at all?

It's been an honour and a learning experience to serve as a Director with CoSocial. I didn't run again because I have other life and projects in the year ahead.

Excited to see a new Board with new energy and to focus on being an active working group member for now

@glyph @whitequark maybe they'll write useful documentation if we tell them our AI code assistants need them

Just learned that there's legislation in the US that prevents Medicare from negotiating prices at the launch of a new drug.

That is NOT what the market will bear. This is legislated price fixing and what amounts to corporate welfare. If anyone tells you America is about markets and free enterprise, laugh in their face.

@stumblewyk two of the worst defenses in the league.

Take the over.

RIP Walter Koenig

Wah wah if you dont like it block it.

It has everything to do with the Fediverse as this is precisely the kind of problem the Fediverse was designed to minimize and grapple with, so how that problem is evolving in the corporate social media world is directly relevant to the Fediverse even though it is not part of it, the failure of corporate social media to grapple with these problems elucidates why we are trying to solve those problems best in some ways.

@lightweight Kind of like my daughter with Kewpie mayonnaise.

Student projects such as note-taking apps and PDF viewers

Are PDF viewers a common student project? I always assumed the file standard must be a labyrinthine mess given all the features they’ve crammed into it over the years. Or is there some popular library that takes 99% of the work out of it?

@shapr I’m not sure if this is a reference to something or if you’ve had an interesting day

@nixCraft geninely hoping the AI bubble bursts as soon as possible

@angelteeth older LO basically

@Mrfunkedude well done! I'm proud of you💖

It occurs to me that a casual observer could infer that I see food purely as a vehicle for chili-based condiments.
