In Texas, we’ve actually seen more snow the last 5 years than the previous 20, but also more extreme heat. It’s just extremes all around.
Our weather comes in the form of months-long heatwaves and droughts, isolated severe floods that saturate the ground and wash downstream instead of replenishing aquifers, and the annual extreme cold snap in February.
“Everything is bigger in texas.” holds true, even for weather swings.

@fesshole I worked in a place where the employees slated the owner all day in a Teams chat, not realising that the boss could see everything in said Teams chat! 🙂

Justice must be fair, accessible and effective.
This European Day of Justice, we highlight how justice protects our rights and upholds the rule of law in Europe and beyond.
From supporting fair trials to strengthening cross-border judicial cooperation, the EU works to ensure access to justice.
The International Criminal Court, announced as the laureate of the Sakharov Prize, also highlights the importance of accountability and human rights worldwide.
@EUCommission The day goes back to 2003: the Council of Europe decided in June that year to launch it jointly with the Commission, and the first one was held on 24 October 2003. It has been marked around 25 October since 2004 (Council of Europe).

I'm the dev here if anyone has any questions, I was waiting till it was in a more finalized state to announce it. Also full transparency since this community is a little more sensitive on it, this project has been agentically built over the course of the last 1-2 years, but I am a SWE in my day job.
I'm sure most people here would be more curious about the ActivityPub -> atproto bridge, I call this Tidepool code is here: https://tangled.org/bretton.dev/tidepool
I'm planning full Lemmy / Piefed / Pylova federation, the goal is not only to be read only here! Ex my comment is from Coves! Communities themselves aren't being federated yet though.
OP I'd love to know what was spamming you, I can help tackle that we don't have many users and signups are disabled, but I do have some automated bot posts running but those shouldn't be federating yet.
