are you a game developer or not? do you like AI for coding?
@eniko Non-gamedev; I use LLMs occasionally to answer "how to" questions but not for generating production code. (...and I absolutely do not give the AI companies any money.)
My old bosses, playing Nighthawk (after an hour of squeeing about PRGE).

I think they've settled into treating their company as a retirement hobby, and this is a good thing, but I'm glad we're still friends and they're still making games.

@cidney I'm glad they played Nighthawks. It felt like a thing they would be into

Incredible
Got up early today to catch a bit of the Orionid meteor shower. Had a killer view of Orion and it was very clear, but spotted only two shooting stars in about 20 min (one was bright green). But OMG are there a lot of satellites. They're most visible right after sunset or right before dawn and it was a bit distracting watching all the traffic. If you've not spent any time stargazing at these times lately, you might be surprised at how busy it's gotten up there.
@briankrebs it has ruined stargazing for me
I knew this week was gonna be a challenge but goddamn I'm on some thin ice right now.
From WordPress .com to Rocket .net, hosting companies in the WordPress space blocked attacks with mitigations before rolling out patched versions of PHP, with some still patching well into Thursday.
@therepository I was very pleased by the response Rocket.net had to the PHP fiasco! Three cheers for them!

Nice way to avoid the question lol
Seriously - did you think when OP stated:
Some of our devs use AI assistants for generating code for PRs and also to assist with PR reviews
that they were talking about html code? 😆
Yesterday, as I sat here, using a laptop running on Free software written and maintained by volunteers, to connect, by means of a secure tunnel formed by Free software written and maintained by volunteers, to multiple servers, all running Free software written and maintained by volunteers, to apply patches prepared urgently by volunteers to resolve security vulnerabilities, I felt *incredibly* grateful for every single one of those volunteers, who makes the fact that I could do *any* of this possible.
Thank you, genuinely.
despite having a podcast about it, ritual video talks about still needing some time to get used to SOV. the same could be said for black and white films and silent cinema. not everything you love is love at first site

Someone gave me cash for my birthday and it's just been sitting on my damn desk.
Ugh. I just have no reason to go to the bank anymore.
@daledesilva Then go spend it! That'll be fun!

This time next week, @michael and @mariana_b will be in Barcelona for MozFest!
This year's @@mozilla Festival theme is 'Wilding', presenting an opportunity for conversations around decentralisation and the natural growth of the social internet.
If you're there, let us know and let's meet up!
