@Xibanya Your very smart points remind me of the “hierarchy of hazard controls”. Sexism and, idk, fluorine gas are maybe not that different in some ways.

Just generally glad that we don't grow nails anywhere else
that PHP fix is 13k lines
5k apparently of non-tests
that's all human written, right? I wouldn't want to speak out of turn about sprawling quick fix diffs
@davidgerard It doesn't look LLM generated at first blush, but I'm no longer confident in my ability to tell to be honest. Either way, you could not possibly pay me enough to sign off on +11k -1k over 423 files with most of it being random branches and gotos...
@strypey I make the note about definitions because I don't see that much in common between different arms of "AI", & I think we'd be better doing away with the term.
That said... Everything there falls under Machine Learning, which I consider to be a very mixed bag.

From your lips to God's ears, my friend ; ) Like "intellectual property", "AI" fudges together a bunch of wildly different things, and misrepresents the nature of all of then.
I almost never use the term "AI" without the scare quotes, but you've inspired me. From now on, that's going to be *never*

I think we missed a huge opportunity to normalize masking as a public health tool.
We eradicated an entire strain of the flu with Covid prevention measures.
Masking shows respect for those around you.
It shows solidarity with the disability community.
It shows you value long term health.
I need help from the electronic music hive mind!
What are the electronic instruments you've played over the years that are DEAD SIMPLE to use? Meaning, a person with no experience could walk up to it and quickly and intuitively move some knobs around, poke around a bit, and start exploring the instrument?
Samplers, synths, drum machines, and recording tech suggestions are all welcome. Boost if your followers would know about this pleeease! <3
@alisynthesis
Late to this, but an extra thought... If someone doesn't have any musical experience or skill, synths with keyboards or a 303 type interface are not at all immediately accessible, and they can also be very difficult for people with motor disabilities.
A semi-modular with a simple sequencer like an sq-1 might suit some people. As others have suggested, little devices like the Monotrons can be fun. Pity the Monotribe is no longer in production :(
No-input mixing, effects pedals?

Thanks AI for a totally f*cked up evening.
Did I mentioned that I hate AI in it's current form?

The plan is to merge gram & pixey onto 1 server to cut 100,- a month hopefully, at least depending on volumes😆

So. Is it just coincidence that the new theme colors available on Mastodon.social are almost the same colors as the 4 Mastodon plushie mascots? I THINK NOT!!!!
