@sun @moth_ball @nerthos the stylized sharp teeth and triangle tongue thing bothers me and it's so ubiquitous in low to mid range "sexy anime girl" Canon and the rabbit jammed between her boobs makes me want to punch her

@sun
suppose applies more broadly, but meant the game hades specifically. seems to be a hit with 30-something tumblr women and theys, same people reading all those "greek myth reimagined" books past few years and also apparently bad musical adaptations? had one of these as a neighbour, moved out last year

@ageha so here's the thing that wasn't the audience of the first one so people are entitled to be annoyed

@Gina @fosdem I really need to put some more presentations together.

I do tend to thrive more with a live audience.

@Gina @fosdem I'd spent the Friday before in Brussels looking for that EU t-shirt.

Brexit had happened legally and I was sad and angry about it. So I decided to wear the flag along with my peacock feather leggings.

"I keep coming back to this graph because it’s so eye-popping, almost impossible to believe. As you see in the legend, the blue line is data centers. The grey line is everything else. Everything else. Commercial properties. Rental properties. Single family homes. Multiple family homes. Pick your preferred flavor of development, NIMBY, YIMBY, urban, rural, it’s in there. You basically have rapid data center growth and everything else contracting."

Graph showing private construction spending relative to December 2023 for data centers and all other private construction. Data center construction has steadily grown to $5 billion over the baseline today. All other private construction fell off a cliff in 2025 and is now $10 billion below the baseline.

TPM – Talking Points Memo

It’s the AI Economy … We’re Just Living In It

I corresponded with a TPM Reader from the tech world recently who marveled at the political salience of data centers when data centers have been around since…

@jalefkowit sigh, on a fun note: it reminds me of one of the Thrawn books where people complain that they can't get anything build because all the resources are used for the deathstar.

We are planning for the PHP security update later today and will be applying those updates for managed customers and shared hosts as soon as possible. We may disable PHP on servers where updates are unavailable or if active exploitation looks likely before patches arrive.

@neil

I read your report on the Bigme 6 tablet.

I have found that using Koreader's ability to access an OPDS server to acquire books on demand is the simplest method. Calibre probably has a built-in OPDS server; if not, I'm sure there are third-party add-ons which read Calibre's database for that purpose.
