It's named that way for easy understanding since many people do not understand what AtProto means, but you can ask @gabboman@gabboman.xyz for more information.

Its a “if you want to use the bluesky client”
Do not insult me like that strypey haha
FYI, Firefox has enable the "Donate your body to fuel data centers" option to true by default, so if you want to opt-out, make so set this hidden flag to false every browser update.
browser.ml.donateFlesh = false
Thanks, but in fact, I hadn't set any other filters than the regional at all—just Germany, for example. Even so, I didn't even see their own events by setting a regional filter that includes their area.
Are there any tricks or dances I could try to get into this finding thingies in a region?
@moeria @perspektivbrocken @junior42 Maybe turn to a german free software association who could get an instance started, as it seems that a general purpose instance is missing in Germany.
We'd be happy to boost such initiative.
Bonjour,
@stefano Oooohhhh man, don't get me started. That's the kind of crap that pisses me of to no end!
We've been doing these things for years and have years of expertise to know what's secure and what's not. Trust us when we tell you that something like SSH is secure, especially when it's already been hardened and tested in specific cases like this.
Your customer might be reading this, but I have no qualm in stating how disrespectful that is to you and the expertise you have which has been tested, especially proven in that talk you gave at EuroBSDcon about those 142 servers.
Maybe they should take the time this Friday to watch it, so as not to doubt you again.
@claudiom thank you! The customer was in good faith - I know them well enough.
Sometimes people do bad things just because they don't understand they're doing bad things. They just need to learn.
@stefano I find it ironic and cognitively dissonant that they're both embracing 'AI' (stochastic parrots) but also looking for only 'serious' contributions. 🙄 Wow, we're living in some times.
@jake4480 I didn't investigate but I'm quite sure they're getting a lot of money from the people investing on AIs.
As @brynet has been pointing out... it's time for some #80HYPE 🧙🏻♂️ 🐡
Some of the highlights we are looking forward to! This is just a teeny tiny subset of all the amazing things coming in 8.0! https://www.openbsd.org/80.html
OpenBSD vmm/vmd(8)
- Added MP support for up to 64 VCPUs per guest VM
This is what a dmesg looks like:
https://dmesgd.nycbug.org/dmesgd?do=view&id=9166
OpenBSD httpd(8)
- Setting custom HTTP response headers.
- New blocking/filtering rules based on received HTTP headers (e.g: User-Agent: )
OpenBSD relayd(8)
- Added Lua patterns(7) support for relayd(8) filter rules; improved glob(7) documentation.
- Added ECDSA support to the relayd(8) CA privsep engine.
- Switched the default TLS cipher in relayd.conf(5) set from 'HIGH:!aNULL' to 'secure.'
Thank you @mlarkin, dv@ and @sizeofvoid for these specifically, and of course all developers who are working tirelessly on #OpenBSD
Considering taking the old Samsung Chromebook Pro, installing UEFI firmware on it and then either Linux or NetBSD.
Downsides: no way back (the device is AUE, so I cannot get a new recovery firmware), thus the device might be bricked. Also, I would need to open the device to remove the write protect screw.
Should I?
Actually just incredibly funny for Epic to literally go "programming is hard :(" in an official statement
@eniko@mastodon.gamedev.place
I mean it is sometimes
Tierhive (which is currently hosting my https://openbased.xyz and https://httpd.rocks projects with #OpenBSD) now supports #NetBSD!
tierhive.com
- 1 vCPU
- 512MB RAM
- 1GB Storage
Under $5 per year!
New blog post! I'm sharing some personal notes from my experiments with FreeBSD and the HumanWare BrailleNote Apex.
These are just personal notes, but I hope they may also be useful to others who want to start connecting a Braille display to FreeBSD, or to curious developers who want to understand how their software is used by people relying on screen readers and other assistive technologies.
