BUT the news the linux kernel is removing the "Assisted-By" line for commits with LLM-code reads to me, like folks want to make it harder to excise that code later.

@trashheap I’m not sure there are other compelling reasons to remove the label other than the one you spelled. It doesn’t take much space, either visually or digitally, but it is an important social marker that the nerdbros currently in charge of the Linux kernel would rather not have to contend with on a regular basis.

Mistral is preparing to take part in an EU push to build AI datacentres – labelled “AI gigafactories” – a representative of Europe’s AI hopeful said in Brussels on Tuesday.
Europe needs to compete on building frontier models and can do so with more compute, she argued. But she also criticised that the project was still partly being planned along national lines, which she suggested contributed to its slow progress.
