This will just be noise unless he releases the evidence. Which, in my opinion, he absolutely should; it’d cause massive earthquakes across our entire establishment, but we need it.

These are the people building the Fediverse!

Guten Morgen!
@heluecht@pirati.ca ooh, looks delicious!
@mildsunrise@tech.lgbt @gabboman@gabboman.xyz
How do i tell this to my dumbass brother who keeps tooting his horn about how he is now a coder given he vibecoded (read: pumped full of ai slop) an app for an old Samsung watch that could have worked with PostmarketOS or Linux, or how he "ported" InfinityBlade to Android.
@mildsunrise@tech.lgbt @sveth@app.wafrn.net
If he enjoys it…. He may learn some stuff though it too.
Not my jam, but if he is doing it for himself…
I broke @newsmast 😬
Ruh-oh 👀
Hopefully relaunching the app solved this issue for you?
Thankfully we've got a massive upgrade on the way, across all of our apps 🤞
Fedify 2.4.0 is out.
The main addition is support for FEP-ef61 portable objects. A Fedify server can now host actors whose identity is a DID instead of a domain, serve their signed objects through /.well-known/apgateway/, and verify the portable objects of other servers. I tested it against tootik and Mitra, and wrote up where Fedify's profile differs from the FEP and what it leaves out.
The release also adds application-defined background tasks, the ActivityPub Media Upload extension, per-request inbox reports, 410 Gone for deleted objects, and four new packages (AdonisJS, Netlify, PGlite, and interaction controls).
Some defaults changed, so please read the upgrading section before you update, especially if you federate with software that uses FEP-ef61 compatible identifiers.
Release notes: https://hackers.pub/@fedify/2026/fedify-2-4.
Thanks to everyone who contributed to this cycle, and to @silverpill for patient answers about the FEP.
@silverpill Thank you for adding it! I think it does. I implemented it in Fedify because I believe the fediverse needs identities that outlive any single server. I hope having it in a framework makes it a little easier for others to adopt. Thanks again for all your patient answers along the way.
@hongminhee Do you know anybody who builds an FEP-ef61 app using Fedify?
Hi @misterdubs, I found your fediverse service on the list here;
https://forte.eenoog.org/instances?project=coresignal
Coresignal.podmoodle.nohost.me looks like a Bonfire instance, but it's not on the Bonfire list here;
https://forte.eenoog.org/instances?project=bonfire
Is CoreSignal a fork of some kind? Or has @Bonfire maybe got some issues with its NodeInfo implementation?
@strypey@mastodon.nzoss.nz they've probably simply customised the APP_NAME environment variable.

The Onion is looking for back issues so they can be properly archived (and they’re willing to buy them off you if you have them)
@mildsunrise@tech.lgbt @gabboman@gabboman.xyz yup, it's also why codeberg does not allow majorly ai written code because the likelihood of it accidentally being copyright/copyleft infringing goes up with length ergo novelty.

🔴🟢 Today, we launched https://gdpr-omnibus.eu/ – a website, where we ranked more than 1,000 amendments to the GDPR and ePrivacy Directive.
⁉️ This sheds light on the question of who in the EU Parliament is fighting for your privacy, and who is fighting for Big Tech!
👉 Take a look at https://gdpr-omnibus.eu/ to see the full ranking and our special rankings, including one on Charter violations.

Okay, after some more rounds of testing, I can say that I can’t get the official Mastodon App and @MonaApp to work with #littleFedi. But @IceCubesApp and @ivory do work out of the box. It’s a pity as Mona is my favorite. So I can just wait until something at @littlefedi_official or Mona changes.
@Bastianoso @MonaApp @IceCubesApp @ivory @littlefedi_official the devs have been working on it and the missing endpoint has been implemented. It will be in the next build.
@sun @silverpill yeah, my personal big use case is one-off donations.
>one-off donations
picrel
>supporting more than just Monero
could be done with an addon https://codeberg.org/silverpill/mitra/issues/72

Here is the thing, due my work I have worked with AI and I know what it does well and what it sucks at.
Here are the two possibilities:
1: decomp adobe with traditional program. Agent 1: “make
me a spec for this program regarding the functionality it has. Remove the drm shit”. Agent2 from another provider: “implement me THIS spec, you who haven’t seen the original code”
2: “grok make me a prompt for the photoshop functionality”. “Claude implement me this prompt”
Both take time. Not as much as doing it yourself… but yeah
In both cases, the original code hasn’t been seen. Thats why it was done to adobe but wouldn’t work on gimp, because its code is public
@mildsunrise@tech.lgbt
Also the implementation is probably done in a lot of separate sessions, because the longer a session goes the more stupid it gets. “Hello welcome to my codebase. Create me a gausian blur and wire it to this button “
@gabboman (but yes. while i have not looked into these adobe / office clones that are popping up, i sincerely doubt a lot of them really understand what clean room means? based on my limited experience in Asahi I think many of them will have just told their agents to "use clean room" and think that this somehow creates a robust defense)

Something I have noticed is I tried to follow two different #gotosocial accounts on different servers and they both fail leaving 401 in the admin queue.
Is this a known issue with gts @stefano@mastodon.bsd.cafe ?
@justine it should be federating correctly with gts
