These are the people building the Fediverse!

What's clear here to me, is how this new videogame development process is being framed.
If you watch the video, there isn't any actual sense that it's enabling a new generation of storytellers; it's not depicting a process that involves actual creative expression.
It's all framed as one attention economy dopamine roller coaster that can be mined of bite sized meme-able moments.
No one could watch this trailer and imagine someone might use this process to build a game that emotionally touches someone, or challenges someone. It reduces an actual art form, to jangling keys in front of a child to distract them.
The whole attitude is "To hell with art." Who cares if this slop might cannibalize actual creative expressions, with intent, meaning or narrative? #NeverAI #AntiAI #Videogames
Look, the difference between ActivityPub and AT Protocol isn't that hard to wrap your head around. ActivityPub is for Linux discourse, while AT Protocol is for the dissemination of furry porn

Internationalized Webfinger Handles in ActivityPub
@evanprodromou @jdlh I'm glad to say that the `webfinger` and `activitypub-webfinger` NodeJS libraries now support globally inclusive handles.

Yeahhhh 😎 I like this ruling! Mostly because the idea that #LLM output is never eligible for #copyright protection seemed pretty ridiculous (not that that seemed likely to survive for long in light of the recent clone of Adobe products). But also, the fact that the LLM output was used to make a direct competitor to the original, and the fact that it was minimally transformative, seem to be key factors in the analysis. So I wouldn't expect this to significantly change the situation with respect to LLM output in software in general, at least not by itself.
@diazona The other ruling was also pretty limited in scope, so we now have two limited in scope rulings ;P
Watch live now: second reading debate in the Senate has just begun on the controversial lawful access law, Bill C-22. Sponsor Baltej Dhillon is speaking now.
