Claude's habit of making just… completely incorrect statements and yet still being considered a best-in-class model needs to be studied.
Claude "The doc's claim that <service> 'crash-looped processing corrupt state reports.' This is not indicated in the sources…"
Problem:
The doc never claimed that.
Anywhere.
Not on the line that Claude is citing. Not in any of the attached documents. Not in the document itself.

@davidrevoy Are you doing this *in addition to* CC BY / CC BY-SA btw?
Note that it might be possible: CC BY's legal code says:
> Moral rights, such as the right of integrity, are not licensed under this Public License, nor are publicity, privacy, and/or other similar personality rights; however, to the extent possible, the Licensor waives and/or agrees not to assert any such rights held by the Licensor to the limited extent necessary to allow You to exercise the Licensed Rights, but not otherwise.
@davidrevoy Hm, re-reading, maybe not possible to do in addition to this term. It's been so long since I thought about moral rights clauses.
Ooops. OpenAI's manipulated annual revenue is not 70 billion as claimed before but just 50 billion. Which is significantly less.
Is that good?

@davidrevoy Glad you are doing something, a little uncertain what the license is exactly. But also, I kind of suspect, all of this stuff is a violation of even CC BY if these licenses were actually enforced and the other FOSS orgs who might have influenced things hadn't dropped the ball; there's simply no way to preserve the "attribution soup" of these works...

--- GAME OVER ---
Poking around in WordPress because I wanted to see how they handle something in the UI, and I just noticed the “Create AI Podcast” sidebar menu item:
"Pick a date range or a few specific posts and we’ll generate a two-host conversation, complete with narration and a ready-to-publish draft. Edit, refine, and hit Publish when you’re happy."
I want more people to podcast, but creating a podcast with multiple fake hosts (for what is likely a solo personal blog) is weird and unnecessary. This is why so many people hate AI.
@liquidparasyte@app.wafrn.net
I am. But now the excuse of bsky parity is gone
“The Forkiverse" is a Mastodon instance started by the hosts of the Search Engine podcast and the Hard Fork podcast. The site has picked up tens of thousands of users, with a distinctive local culture, and is a nice part of the Fediverse.

@hypha@cafe.mycelium.locahlo.st @kopper@not-brain.d.on-t.work
I tried a filter back in the day on super early wafrn and the lowest quality with a huge blur still was too revealing in a lot of cases
@gabboman@gabboman.xyz @hypha@cafe.mycelium.locahlo.st i mean yeah that's the poiut
@hypha@cafe.mycelium.locahlo.st yep, exactly.
@hypha@cafe.mycelium.locahlo.st @kopper@not-brain.d.on-t.work
That would require adding a new html tag “only load partialy” or something
How the Fediverse Found Parts for Its Platforms https://www.linux-magazine.com/Online/Features/How-the-Fediverse-Found-Parts-for-Its-Platforms
A really nice article from Linux Magazine, which includes a lot of interview material with me about the history of the fediverse, where I think things are going, etc. Lots of other lovely people interviewed also
